I did 4 posts in my semi-regular series C-pop Saturday during 2022. Eurovision

I wrote 4 posts in the lead up to the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. It was significant for the UK because we came 2nd with Sam Ryder's SPACE MAN,  our best result in a long time! The winner was Ukraine with Kalush Orchestra's Stefania. Unfortunately, Ukraine is not able to host this year's Eurovision due to the war, so we will host. The 2023 contest will be in Liverpool.

J-pop

Not much J-pop this year. I featured my fave Koda Kumi song feel in a post about my favourite love songs (see below under Various). And I shared some J-pop in Public dances (see the second Dance Videos Round-up under the Dance section). Apart from that I included a J-pop video in a post featuring some new-(ish) K-pop music in May and my general Asian music posts (inluding Asian Music Round-up 2) featured Japanese pop. I plan to share more J-pop in 2023!

K-pop 

There were several K-pop posts in 2022. I included a couple of songs in the New Music for 2022- Various post (listed under New Music), although one is an English language song . And I featured BTS' Home in my Current Favourite Songs post in February (see under Various for that) and TWICE'S Talk that Talk in my August New Music Releases post (listed under New Music Releases). Plus, there was more K-pop in my general Asian music posts (including Asian Music Round-up 2).

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
