Occasionally I feature live music performances on Star Sparkle. And of course, every year there is the Eurovision Song Contest which I'm a fan of, so I share more live music then. I'm looking forward to the 2022 contest in May! Today I'm doing a round-up of live performance posts on the blog, plus sharing a new video. :)

Elliot Tordo & The China Oriental- Endless Love- The Myth
I thought I'd end with a performance of a different kind! This is a classical music performance by Elliot Tordo and The China Oriental.
Elliot is an erhu player from France. The erhu is a Chinese two-stringed musical instrument. It kind of reminds me of the Japanese koto which characters play in The Tale of Murasaki by Liza Dalby, one of my favourite books, although the koto is a harp. (The book inspired the name of my self-help /spiritual blog Falling Petals!)
Elliot is also a piano player. The China Oriental is a performing arts group which promotes Chinese cultural music and dance.
This is an erhu, bamboo flute and pipa (four-stringed Chinese musical instrument) cover of Endless Love from the 2005 Hong Kong/Chinese fantasy film The Myth, which stars Hong Kong born actor Jackie Chan and Korean actress Kim Hee-sun (Hee-sun Kim in Western terms). It was uploaded last month. Nice, chillout vibes.
The Chinese name for Endless Love is Wujin De Ai and it's a Mandarin (Chinese) and Korean language duet by the movie's stars Jackie and Hee Sun. Listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGB0LN8Codw
