Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Kyaa Baat Hai 2.0 from the new Bollywood film Govinda Naam Mera (My Name is Govinda). It's a comedy crime thriller about the title character, backup/background dancer Govinda Waghmare (played by Vicky Kaushal) who wants to divorce his "hotty" wife Gauri (Bhumi Pednekar)  to be with his "naughty" girlfriend Suku (Kiara Advani). Things get even more complicated when there is a murder! It was released on 16th December, through Indian video on demand service Disney+ Hotstar. 

Kyaa Baat Hai is a remake of the song Kya Baat Ay by cricketer turned singer and actor Harrdy Sandhu, which was released in September 2018. The new version was recreated by Tanishk Bahchi and is sung by Harrdy and Nikhita Gandhi.

I think Kya Baat Ay/Kyaa Baat Hai translates as something like "You are extraordinary/amazing" in English. The subtitles on YouTube translate that line in both versions as "Everything about you is extraordinary" and "Oh so amazing!" respectively.

The video features two of the main stars, Vicky and Kiara, and was uploaded on 6th December. Click "Subtitles/closed captions" for English subtitles! :)

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
