It's been a while since I did a K-pop post (apart from the K-pop in Public- Boys' Edition! post , the last K-pop videos one was in January ), so today I'm sharing some new Korean releases! :)   MONSTA X- GAMBLER First up,  here is boyband MONSTA X's new single GAMBLER, which is the first release from their 9th Korean mini album One Of A Kind. Member Shownu is currently taking a break from the group due to health issues, so MONSTA X will promote the new mini album as a five-piece. I don't always follow their music that closely, but their last album was 2019's Resist and I don't think they've released that many singles since then. The band is doing an online show called The Aftermath- A Show In A Virtual Reality on 8th and 9th July. Back in March I did my first post featuring Chinese dance in public. I've previously shared a variety of dance videos and written posts dedicated to K-pop in Public ). But there are also C-pop and V-pop in Public covers too, as well as general dance ones. The dance I shared in the Chinese post above was performed by Vietnamese dance crew YNG. Today's video is Lovers In The Night by Seori . Her birth name is Baek Sohyun (surname/family name written first) and she is a Korean indie singer who started out by uploading covers to YouTube. She debuted under artist collective ATISPAUS in May 2020 with the EP ?depacse ohw (written in lower case), which is mostly Korean language. The title is "Who Escaped" backwards! She has also released two English singles, Trigger and Lovers In The Night. Seori collaborated with Jae of Korean group DAY6 last September on the single It Just Is, and she just teamed up with K-pop boy band TXT for 0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You). Her 3rd single The Long Night is due out soon and the music video will premiere tomorrow (UK time). She is also signed to American company 88rising , which I believe she is releasing her English singles under. Lovers In The Night came out in April. A year ago, when we'd all been going through a stressful time in the world, I wrote a post called Chillout Songs. I shared the music that helps me to relax. This week's video is Vou Arriscar by Chelsy & Nsoki. They are an African/Portuguese music duo and they sing in Portuguese. Chelsy Shantel is Portuguese-Angolan and was born in Lisbon, Portugal. Nskoi was born in Luanda, Angola, but grew up in Cuba and later lived in America. They were both successful as solo singers before getting together as a duo. Chelsy and Nsoki's hit songs (individually) include Meu Anjo (My Angel), Bye Bye, Kuxe ki sta Errado and Played out Record. Their style of music started out as Kizomba and Ghetto Zouk , but includes other styles such as ballads and Afro-pop. In late 2020 the two got together to record a duet for the compilation album Kizomba da Boa. They enjoyed working together so much that they wanted to continue, so formed a duo! They have since brought our two singles, Vou Arriscar and Leave The Door Open, a cover of the song by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak (Silk Sonic) .
