K-pop Christmas Songs

It's just over a week till Christmas (the time seems to have gone quickly again!), so today's post is festive themed!

Back in 2017 I wrote a post called K-pop Christmas! It wasn't actually about Christmas themed K-pop songs, just sharing the Korean music posts from that year (similar to 2015's Bollywood Boxing Day!). You can read it here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2017/12/k-pop-christmas.html

However, since then I have featured several K-pop Christmas songs on the blog, so that's what I'm sharing today. Plus, a brand-new song! :)  

 

GOT7- Miracle  

In my 2018 Christmas Music post I featured Korean boy band GOT7's song Miracle. It was a single from their re-released 3rd studio album Present: YOU &ME, which came out in December that year. The video is Christmas/winter themed.

EXO-K- The First Snow

I also included fellow boyband EXO's song The First Snow in that post. This is EXO-K's version (the group is made up of Korean and Chinese members who sing in Korean and Mandarin respectively) and it's from their 2nd EP Miracles in December, which was released back in December 2013.

Hello WM!- Timing

In December 2018 the boy bands B1A4 and ONF teamed with up the girl group OH MY GIRL for the winter/Christmas holiday song Timing. As a group they were known as Hello WM! (in reference to their record label WM Entertainment).

BoA feat. Crush- Starry Night

In my Christmas Songs 2019 post I shared the video for Starry Night, a winter themed love song by popular Korean solo singer BoA and featuring R'n'B singer Crush.

Stray Kids- 24 to 25, Christmas EveL + Winter Falls

Laat year's Christmas Music Round-up post featured several Christmas/winter songs by the boy band Stray Kids, from their holiday special single album Christmas EveL. It consists of 4 tracks- the title track, 24 to 25, Winter Falls and the English version of their song DOMINO, and was released in November 2021. 

I shared the video for 24 to 25 in the post itself and linked to Christmas EveL and Winter Falls. (DOMINO is not Christmas or winter themed and doesn't have a music video, but there is a fan made lyric video.)

Red Velvet X aespa

Finally, a new song for this Christmas! Girl groups Red Velvet and aespa (stylised in lower case) have teamed up for the new single Beautiful Christmas. It will be on the upcoming album 2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE, which is the 10th winter album by SM TOWN (the collective of artists from the SM Entertainment record label). SMCU PALACE is set for release on Boxing Day/the day after Christmas (26th Dec).

Beautiful Christmas was released on 14th December. Click "Subtitles/closed captions" on YouTube for English subtitles! :)

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
