C-pop in Public Dances

Time for the first dance post of the year! Today's one is about Chinese pop. :)

Now here are more C-pop dances!


(DANCE IN PUBLIC CHALLENGE) JIMINGYUE 

First up is a dance cover by Australian group Play Dance Studio. They are a K-pop cover performance crew from Perth, Western Australia. Play Dance also occasionally cover other genres such as this C-pop dance that I'm sharing today.

This is a dance cover of  Jimingyue (also seen it written as Ji Mingyue) by Chinese girl group SING.  It was released in 2017. The cover video is from February last year.

(C-POP IN PUBLIC JAPAN) WayV (Kick Back) Cover- 2X2X

And here is a cover of Chinese boyband WayV's Kick Back (released last March) by Japanese dance group 2X2X.  The group performed at SKYTREE in Tokyo and the video was uploaded last June.

 

Update 18/4/25: This video has been made private, as several other videos of 2X2X have also been . I'll update this if they ever upload it again.

CPOP IN PUBLIC WayV 'Kick Back' Dance Cover

This is a cover by SKDance from Switzerland. The YouTube channel belongs to Simon, a solo K-pop cover dancer from Switzerland.

In this video, Simon dances as Lucas and is joined other dancers from Z-Axis Dance Crew from Singapore (see the YouTube info box for their names and which member they are). It was uploaded in April 2021.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
