This week's video is Nadiyon Paar (Let the Music Play/Play Again) from the new Bollywood film Roohi . It stars Rajkummar Rao , Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma , and is a comedy horror film about two men who get more than they bargain for after abducting a girl for marriage who is possessed by a ghost!  Roohi was released on 11th March. Nadiyon Paar is a dance song. The playback singers /music producers are Shamur , Rashmeet Kaur , IP Singh and music composer duo Sachin-Jigar . It's a new version of Shamur's 2008 song Let The Music Play. The video stars Janhvi. Sharing some more dance videos today! A couple of weeks ago I posted a video of a Chinese dance but this is my second post of 2021 featuring a variety of dances. :) Ride It/ JEN&DONG Choreo- Hello Dance First up is a choreography by Hello Dance to the song Ride It by British singer Jay Sean (released back in 2008!). Today's video is Nobody Like Me by Peruvian American singer A.CHAL . It's his latest single and came out on 5th March.  Nobody Like Me is an R'n'B/Latin style song. The beat and music remind me a bit of J Balvin an Bad Bunny's LA CANCION .  Please note that the song is explicit. This week's video is Lowkey by Xenia Manasseh. She is a Kenyan singer and songwriter who is an emPawa 30 artist (part of Mr Eazi's emPawa intitative ). Xenia started out by entering the Kenya National Music Festival, competing in voice, piano and recorder. She attended the Berklee College of Music in America and signed to Atlanta, USA based record label UCMG in 2018. In 2019 she released her debut EP Fallin' Apart, which got to No.1 on the Kenyan iTunes R&B/soul charts. Lowkey was released in December and is a lo-fi neo soul song about keeping a new relationship quiet.  Something a little different today! I've previously featured dance videos on the blog showcasing a variety of styles. One of those has been K-pop in Public dances (covers of K-pop songs in public places). They have become really popular in the past couple of years or so.  I just came across a Chinese dance in public video, so I'm sharing that today. :)   CHINESE DANCE IN PUBLIC - Mang Chung Remix (Chinese title)- Bạch Lão Sư- DANCE COVER by YNG   This is a dance to the Mang Chung Remix of a Chinese song. I can't read the Chinese title, but according to Google Translate, in English it means "Mango". The dance is performed by YNG, a Vietnamese dance crew. However, I believe the original choreographer is Teacher Bai/Bạch Lão Sư. Today's video is MAGNETIC by popular Korean solo singer Rain (aka Bi) and featuring Hong Kong singer/rapper Jackson Wang (who is a member of K-pop band GOT7 ). It's a nice R'n'B song and is from Rain's new EP PIECES by RAIN, which came out on 3rd March. This is the official audio and was uploaded on the 4th. Last year I started a new series on the blog called Bollywood Playback Singers. A playback singer is someone who records the music for films. The first singer I featured was Sunidhi Chauhan. You can see that post here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2020/06/bollywood-playback-singers-sunidhi.html Today I'm featuring Shreya Ghoshal .   Shreya was born in West Bengal and grew up in Rajasthan . She wanted to be a playback singer since she was little and had musical training from a young age. In January 1998 she released her debut studio album Bendhechhi Beena, which features covers of classic Bengali songs. Her career received a boost when she won the TV reality show Sa Re Ga Ma aged 16 and drew the attention of the mother of Indian film maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali . This led to Shreya making her Bollywood singing debut, providing the vocals for Paro (played by Aishwarya Rai) in the hit 2002 film Devdas. Shreya's singing credits include Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai from Jism , Yun Hi D

Today's music video is Spaceman by American singer Nick Jonas . From my understanding it's about feeling like you're from another planet during this strange time of the pandemic .  It's been a while since Nick released anything (his last album was 2016's Last Year Was Complicated , although he has released a few songs since then), so it's good to hear new music. Spaceman came out on 26th February, and is from his upcoming album of the same name, due out on 12th March.
