Bollywood Dance Videos

Last month I did a dance video post featuring a variety of dance videos (from different genres). You can read that here:

Today I'm focusing on Bollywood/Indian dance videos. :)

Dance to Deedar De from Dus- LiveToDance with Sonali

First up here is Sonali Bhadauri of LiveToDance with Sonali with a choreography to Deedar De from the 2005 Bollywood film Dus, a thriller which stars Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan. She's dancing with Sayali Gatne and the video was uploaded on 6th May.

I like this song; hadn't heard it in a while. :) The playback singers are Sunidhi Chauhan and Krishna Beura.

Watch the music video for Deedar De here:

Weekly Music Video

Today's video is Gimme by American singer BANKS. It's her latest single and came out on 29th April. It's been ages since she released anything so I was excited to hear new BANKS music! In fact her last single was Underdog in September 2017, although she did also work with rapper 6LACK on the song In Between, so I should say last solo release! I haven't heard In Between; will check it out.

Gimme is one of my current favourite songs (recently bought it on iTunes). It's similar to her other music, so if you're a fan you should like it.  This is an audio but if a music video is made, I'll update the post. :)

BANKS is set to release an album this year. Her last album was 2016's The Altar so it's been a while! Her past two albums were released in September, so perhaps it will be this Sept? I'll keep you posted about news of the new one. :)

Update 24/5/19: The official video for Gimme just premiered last night! Here it is:

2nd update of the day: BANKS…

Eurovision 2019 Favourites

The Eurovison Song Contest is tomorrow, so here is my 2nd Eurovision themed post! You can read the first one, Countdown to Eurovision 2019! here:

Lat night I watched the 2nd Semi-Final (the one the UK can vote in). I did see some of the 1st one but not all of it because it can be boring if you hear all the songs before the night! Today I'm going to share my favourites. :)

Darude feat. Sebasatian Rejaman- Look Away (Finland)

This was a song from the 1st Semi-Final that didn't get through to the final. I watched it online later. It seems kind of pop/dance with a touch of rock ballad! The song is asking how can we look away with all the things going in in the world today.

Darude (real name Toni-Ville Henrik Vitarenen) is a popular Finnish producer and DJ, probably best known for the 1999 single Sandstorm, one of the best selling dance songs in the history of Electronic dance music. He's released 3 album…

Weekly Music Video

Today's video is LOOK AT  ME NOW by Japanese singer Yo-Sea. His first EP 7878 was released in March.

I've often featured J-pop on the blog but Yo-Sea's music is more R'n'B. I first discovered him when I heard the remix of Utdda Hikaru's Too Proud which he featured on. Listen to it here:

His other songs include I think she is,  Dreaming City featuring HIYADAM and Light. LOOK AT ME NOW came out in March.

I can't find much about Yo-sea online in English but you can follow him at these links:

Countdown to Eurovision 2019!

It's Eurovision season once again! (Seems strange that we're already in May, lol). The 64th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, since last year's winner was Netta with Toy. Despite not being in Europe Israel has entered the contest since 1973 because the Israel Broadcasting Authority is a member of the European Broadcasting Union, the company which organises the event. Israel have won Eurovision several times, most recently with Dana International's Diva. (That was 21 years ago now!!). You can watch her performance here:

The UK entry this year is Michael Rice with Bigger than Us. He won Eurovision: You Decide in February. Read more about Michael and the song here:

This is the first of 2 Eurovision themed posts. Today I'll do a round-up of previous posts and updates on some contestants.

In 2017 I did a round-up of …

Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Never The Right Time by New Zealand singer Janine. Her full name is Janine Foster and she started out with the stage name Janine & The Mixtape. In 2011 she moved from Auckland to America to further her music career.

Janine has released several singles including Hold On, Too Late and Unstable, and a EP Dark Mind (2013). Her debut album 99 came out in May last year and her music has been featured on Tv shows such as Black Ink Crew and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.

I first came across Janine in 2017 when I heard the song Unstable and then I heard Too Late last year. Never The Right Time (audio) was originally released in December 2017, but the music video has just come out in March. The song is from 99.

New Music Releases

It's been a while since I did a general New Music Releases post (think the last one was July), although I did do a J-pop and K-pop one in March.  So here's a selection of new music from Western,  Korean and Japanese artists! :)

Jennifer Lopez feat. French Montana- Medicine

One of my favourite singers Jennifer Lopez's latest single is Medicine. It features Moroccan American rapper French Montana (who has worked with Jennifer in the past on I Luh Ya Papi and the album version of Same Girl) and came out in early April.

Medicine is J.Lo's first release under record producer L.A. Reid's Hitco Entertainment. There's no official word on a new album yet (her last was 2014's AKA) but I'll keep you posted. :)

There's also an official lyric video that's just been uploaded. Watch it here:

K..A.R.D- Bomb Bomb

Korean group KARD (sometimes written as K.A.R.D) released their new single Bomb Bomb in late March (so not a…

Weekly Music Video

Today's video is Nuk E Di by Kosovar (Kosvoan Albanian) singer Era Istrefi featuring her sister Nora Istrefi. The sisters previously collaborated on Act Like a player but I'm not sure if they've released anything together officially before.

Nuk E Di is sung in Gheg Albanian (according to Google Translate it means, "I do not know" in English) and a bit of English, and the video was uploaded to YouTube on 18th April.

Want more Era and Nora? Check out these links:
