My Favourite Love Songs

Valentine's Day is coming up (Monday 14th Feb), so I thought I would share my favourite love/sexy songs! Good for getting into a loving vibe. :)


Lumidee feat. Shaggy- Feel Like Makin' Love

First up is Feel Like Makin' Love by American rapper and singer Lumidee and featuring Jamaican rapper Shaggy. Lumidee (full name Lumidee Cedeño) is probably best known for her 2003 single Never Leave You (Uh Ooh, Uh Ooh) and also Crazy with Pitbull in 2007 (although I think Crazy was either not released in the US, or didn't do as well as it did here in the UK).

Feel Like Makin' Love is from her 2nd album Unexpected (which came out in 2007). It's a cover of Roberta Flack's 1975 song. Lumidee and Shaggy's version was released as a single in 2007. I don't think it came out over here, as I didn't actually know there was a video for this until looking it up for this post!  I also didn't know it was a cover, lol.

Sarah Connor- The Loving Permission

Next is The Loving Permission by German singer Sarah Connor. It's from her 2nd album Unbelievable which was released in 2001 (over 20 years ago now!!).

Koda Kumi- feel

feel (written in lower case) is one of my favourite songs by the Japanese singer Koda Kumi (or Kumi Koda in Western terms). It's from her BEST ~second session~ album and was released in January 2006. It was No. 1 on the list in my Top 10 Koda Kumi Songs post and No. 4 in my Top 10 Songs.

Usher- Nice & Slow

Nice and Slow by American singer Usher is more of a "sex song" really! Although several of the songs in this post could also fit that category, lol. It was the 2nd single from his 1997 album My Way and came out in January 1998, reaching No. 1 in the both the US and the UK. (Getting nostalgia now!) The most famous single from My Way is U Make Me Wanna...

The Nice & Slow video features model/TV star and businesswoman Kimora Lee Simmons as Usher's love interest.

 



Vanessa White feat. Chloe Martini- Relationship Goals

Back in 2016 Vanessa White (member of British/Irish girl group The Saturdays) released her debut EP Chapter One. My favourite song from that is Relationship Goals, which is about seeing a future for your relationship. It was a collaboration with Polish music producer Chloe Martini.

My favourite singer Mariah Carey recently released a 25th anniversary edition of her 6th studio album Butterfly. The original album was released on 16th September 1997 and featured songs such as her hit single Honey, The Roof and My All. New J.Lo and JoJo Music

Two singers I like, Jennifer Lopez and JoJo have new music out, so today I'm sharing it on the blog! Jennifer Lopez- Baila Conmigo First up is Jennifer Lopez, whose new song is the Spanish language Baila Conmigo (Dance with Me). It's a cover of the 2018 single by Dayvi featuring Kelly Ruiz . New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. The first series featured 3 couples expecting babies- Lily Bennett and her boyfriend James Kennedy who have daughter Aaliyah, now 2;  Mckayla Adkins and partner Caelan Morrison who have son Timothy, also known as Timmy (and now daughter Gracelynn , born in January 2019), and  Lexus Scheller and boyfriend Shayden Massey who have daughter Scarlett. Season 2 saw the departure of Lilly and the addition of 3 new pregnant girls and their partners- Laura Barron and her boyfriend (now husband) Tylor Stawmyor who have son Lucas (and have since had another baby , a 2nd son, who is named Leo),
