Time for another instalment in my semi-regular series C-pop Saturday! It's been 6 months since my  last one (and the only post of the year so far), but never mind, lol.   B CRUSH- Crush On First up is Crush On by B CRUSH.  They are a mixed gender Taiwanese Mandopop group which consists of 4 members- ZAI, YAN, Rebaecca and WEI. I can't find much info about them but will update this if I do find more. :) B CRUSH made their debut last October with the single Crush On, which appears to be their only single so far. I came across the video a while ago and thought I'd save it to feature in a post sometime, especially because it's fitting for summer. Crush On is an upbeat pop song with a mix of Chinese (Mandarin) and English lyrics, about a summer encounter on the beach that sparks instant attraction. It has a suitably summery music video. Click "Subtitles/closed captions" on YouTube for English subtitles! The lyrics are on screen but not translated into English. :) ...

Yesterday was Star Sparkle's 15th birthday! I started the blog on 17th April 2011. Today I'm sharing a selection of pop and R'n'B songs released in the past few months. :)    DOLLA feat. Elva Suyan- MWAH! Malaysian girl group DOLLA teamed up with Malaysian rapper Elva Suyan for the Chinese version of their single MWA! The original single was released in May 2024 and is a mixture of Malay and English lyrics. The Chinese version came out last November. This is the official lyric video. Time for another instalment of my semi-regular series C-pop Saturday! Today I'm sharing some Chinese pop,R'n'B and dance. :)   MEME- Wei Xian Ren Wu First up is Wei Xian Ren Wu by Taiwanese girl group MEME (also written as ME ME). It consists of 5 members- Xiao Feng,  Xiao Ti, Strawberry and An Ru. I believe their Chinese name is a homophone of "secret", which, according to info on their  YouTube channel , "evokes a sense of mystery and reflects the members' commitment to innovate and bring unpredictable surprises to their audience" through their work.  Please note: I used Google Translate, so I hope this information is accurate! :) MEME debuted in June 2024 with the single MY BLACK EYES. To date they have released two more singles- Seaside Tour in February this year and Tian Kong Qing Niao (Bluebird in the Sky/Sky Bluebird) in April. Today I'm featuring C-pop and R'n'B. :)   ELL&s- Elevatah First up, a Taiwanese girl group! This is Elevatah by  ELL&s , who are signed to KJM Entertainment. The group consists of 5 members- 4 of whom were previously in pre-debut girl group SUNNY PARFUM . According to their Kprofiles , they are a sub-unit of SUNNY PARFUM. The members are lead vocalist Ashlee (real name Chan Hsai-chen/Xinchan), Theia (Zheng Yuhsin), Cherry (Chen Chen-wei/Huang Xiuwan/), Rosie (don't know her full name yet) and Shan/Shanshan (Chen Yu-shan).   All the girls apart from Rosie were members of SUNNY PARFUM * ELL&s debuted in July 2024 with the digital single Elevatah. My last post was in September , so it's been a while!    WayV- FREQUENCY In December I shared the music videos for both the Korean and Chinese versions of FREQUENCY, the latest single by WayV , in my New Music Releases post. Here is my first Asian Groups post of 2025! I started this series (which showcases groups from various Asian countries) back in March 2023 , so nearly two years ago now!  My last post in the series was in September , so it's been a while, lol.  Today I'm featuring Thai girl group 4EVE and Taiwanese boyband/boy band Ozone . *   4EVE 4EVE were formed in Bangkok (Thailand's capital city) in 2020, through the reality survival TV show Girl Group Star . They are signed to Thai record label XOXO Entertainment (who also manage boyband ATLAS ). The group consists of 7 members- Mind (real name Atitaya Tribudarak), Jorin (full name Jorin Khumpiraphan), Taoom (Benyapa Unjit), Hannah (Hannan Rosenbloom), Fai (Nattaya Buttura), Punch (Tipanan Nilsiam) and Aheye (Korranid Laosubinprasoet).  Hannah is Laotian-American (she has a Laotian mum and an American dad), but born in Thailand, later moving to Laos as a child.
