It's been a while since my last C-pop Saturday post, so today I'm sharing a selection of Chinese music! :)
WARps Up
Last month I featured Japanese/Chinese boy band WARPs Up's song POWER in my Asian Boy Bands- Part 2 post (click here for Part 1). It's a mostly English song with some Chinese lines). Visit the post here (see under C-pop/J-pop: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2022/07/asian-boy-bands-part-2.html

Roy Wang & JelloRio- By Now
This is By Now by Chinese singer Roy Wang and rapper JelloRio. Roy (also known as Wang Yuan) started out as a member of then teenage boy band TFBoys but he and the other members are just releasing solo music now, as far as I'm aware.
Roy made his solo debut with the single Cause of You, which he performed at his 15th birthday concert back in November 2015 and released second single The Best Time almost a year later. He brought out his 3rd single Seventeen in October 2017 (released for his 17th birthday), followed by his first English single Sleep in November. In January 2018 Roy released his first digital single album Song for You. To date he has released two more digital albums- Yuan (2019) and Summer Time (2021).
In addition to singing, Roy has done some TV hosting and acting, and is involved in charity work.
By Now is from Summer Time, which was released last June. The single came out in September 2021 and has mellow R'n'B vibes and a mix of Chinese and English lyrics. This is the lyric video.

SING- Chinese title (Flowers Gradually Become Charming/Random Flowers Gradually Charming Eyes)
Next is a song by Chinese girl group SING. The style is hardcore rap mixed with national style music (I used online translators, so I hope this is right), which makes for a unique combination! I got slightly different English translations for the title and someone in the comments translates it as "Flowers are getting charming". If anyone speaks Chinese (Mandarin?) please let me know what the correct English translation is! :)
This is the lyric video and it was uploaded in May.

Julia Wu- Existence
Finally, here is Existence, the newest single by Australian born Chinese singer Julia Wu. It's a collaboration with the online video game Arena of Valor, the Legend Day theme, I think (I used Google translator to translate the Chinese!).
The video premiered on 16th July.
Please note: Video contain some flashing lights (I'm mentioning it in case you have a sensitivity). :)

Hope you liked the post! :) This is only the 3rd C-pop Saturday one I've done this year, but it is a "semi-regular"series, so it varies! I plan to do at least one more before the end of the year. What Chinese songs are you listening to at the moment?
