New K-pop Videos

I was planning to do my 2nd Asian Boy Bands post this week (the follow on to last week's Asian Boy Bands- Part 1). However, I've got quite a busy weekend with doing a dance workshop and I also need to write a post on my seasonal living blog, so I think it will have to be next week instead! Or maybe I'll space it out a bit more and post it in a couple of weeks. :)

So for today's post I'm sharing a couple of new K-pop videos. :)

 

KARD- Ring The Alarm

First up is the Ring The Alarm, the comeback single by mixed gender/co-ed group KARD (sometimes written as K.A.R.D). It's the title track from their 5th mini album Re, their first release since 2020's Way with Words (their debut single album).

Both Ring The Alarm and Re were released on 22nd June. Click "Subtitles/closed captions" on YouTube to see English subtitles! :)

Lapillus- HIT YA!

And here is HIT YA!, the debut single by brand new girl group Lapillus! The group consists of 6 members- leader Shana (full name Nonaka Shana), Chanty (real name Maria Chantel Videla), Yue (real name Nancy Yang), Bessie (Kim Sussana), Seowon (full name Jang Seowon) and Haeun (Lim Haeun). Lapillus is multinational, since Shana is Japanese, Chanty is Filipino-Argentinian (she was born in the Philippines and then moved to Argentina), Yue is Chinese-American and the other girls are Korean.*

 HIT YA! is their first digital single and came out on 20th June.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
