K-pop in Public Dances Round-up

5 years ago I wrote my first K-pop in Public Dances post, featuring dance covers of K-pop songs performed in public places. Since then, the trend has taken off and expanded to other Asian music genres such as J-pop, C-pop, V-pop (Vietnamese pop) and T-pop (Thai pop). Plus, Western and African music dance covers.

I've written quite a few K-pop in Public Dance posts in the past few years, so I thought I'd do a round-up of them all, plus share a couple of new videos. :)

Note: I haven't included all the K-pop in Public videos featured in my general dance video posts because it would take me longer to write this. But I will share links to past Dance Videos round-ups as well, which should link to most of them.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC | ONE TAKE] GOT 7 - 'PYTHON' DANCE COVER | GRID SINGAPORE

First up is a dance cover of PYTHON by Korean boyband GOT7. It's the group's most recent single (coming nearly 3 years after their previous single NANANA) and was released in January. It was the lead single from their 13th EP WINTER HEPTAGON (also released in January).

The cover is by GRID, a dance crew based in Singapore. It's a one-take (meaning it was filmed all in one go) and was uploaded in February. The dancers are Junxuan as Youngjae, Derek as Yugyeom, JJ as Jinyoung, Akid as Mark, Amin as BamBam, Jihao as Jay B and MCCOY as Jackson.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC | ONE TAKE] HELLO VENUS - 'Sticky Sticky' DANCE COVER-  OnePear

And here is another K-pop girl group classic! This is a dance cover of Sticky Sticky by Korean girl group HELLOVENUS. They were a 3rd generation group,  I think and active from 2012 to 2019.

Sticky Sticky is one of HELLOVENUS' most well-known songs and was released as a single album in November 2014.

I didn't really know HELLOVENUS that much compared to other earlier generation girl groups such as Girls' Generation, AOA, Girl's Day and SISTAR. But I like this cover and song, so I thought I'd include it. :)

The cover is performed by Australian dance group OnePear Dance Crew and it's also a one-take. The video premiered in July and features Ann as Alice, Kaya as Nara, Olivia as Lime, Winni as Yooyoung, Carol as Seoyoung and Suki as Yeoreum.

South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. That one is by Rang De and you can see it here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2023/08/dance-videos.html This cover is by Indian choreographer Sonali Bhaduria, from LiveToDance with Sonali and was uploaded in January 2022. It's a shorter video.   For more on Pushpa and to watch the official Oo Antava Mawa video, check out my Tollywood Videos Round-up 2 post from September 2023: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2023/09/tollywood-videos-round-up-2.html ...

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. The first one was about BLACKPINK and you can see it here:  https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2026/03/k-pop-comebacks-blackpink.html Today I'm focusing on BTS (one of the most popular Korean boybands ). They debuted in 2013 and are a 7-member group, made up of leader RM, formerly known as Rap Monster (real name Kim Nam Joon), SUGA (Min Yoon Gi), Jin (full name Kim Seok Jin), j-hope (Jung Ho-seok), Jimin (Park Ji Min), V (Kim Tae Hyung) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook). * Since then, the boys have been very successful, not only in South Korea but internationally. They are probably one of the most well-known K-pop bands worldwide.  In June 2022, the group took a break while the members served their  mandatory military service in Korea and have also been concentrat...
