K-pop (and J-pop) in Public- Boys' Edition 2!

Back in 2021, I wrote a post called K-pop in Public- Boys' Edition!  It was similar to my general K-pop in Public (dance covers of Korean songs performed in public places) posts, but featuring all-male groups. I thought it would be cool to do another boys' edition today, also featuring a J-pop cover! :) 


(KPOP IN PUBLIC CHALLENGE) Work Hard- Dance Cover by CALLVIXION INDONESIA

Fist up is a dance cover of Work Hard by boy band DKB. The single came out in October 2020 and I really liked it at the time.

The cover is performed by CALLVIXION (CALL TEAM DC). They are a dance cover group from Karawang, Indonesia.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC CHALLENGE] JUNGKOOK '3D' Dance Cover- Call Team DC

And here is another dance cover by CALL TEAM DC, this time of 3D, the popular solo single by BTS member Jung Kook and American rapper Jack Harlow (released last September).

The video was uploaded on New Year's Eve (31st December) 2023 and features Kisan as Jung Kook.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC | ONE TAKE] NCT 127 'Fact Check'- TRUTH DANCE

Next up, an NCT song! This is a dance cover of NCT 127's Fact Check, which was released last October. It's performed by members of TRUTH, an all boys dance crew from Melbourne, Australia, plus a couple of guests.

The dancers are Adam as Johnny, Jonah as Taeyong, Wing as Jaehyun, Erik as Haechan, Emmanuel as Doyoung, Justin as Yuta, Ryan as Jungwoo and Brian as Johnny. (The last two are the guest dancers.) 

9th NCT 127 member Taeil was in a motorcycle accident last summer, which led to him needing surgery and treatment, and was taking a break at the time Fact check came out (so he didn't have a cover dancer). Hopefully he's doing better now. :) 

The video premiered in October.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC PARIS | ONE TAKE} LE SSERAFIM Easy Dance Cover- Young Nation Dance

I thought this was a cool twist on K-pop in Public- it's a cover of EASY by girl group LE SSERAFIM (released in February), but perfomed by an all-male group! The dance is by Young Nation, a French dance group based in Paris. 

The video was uploaded in March. The dancers are Enzo as Kazuha, Bishente as Eunchae, Julien as Chaewon, Pascal as Sakura and Sada as Yunjin.

[MALAYSIA JPOP DANCE COVER] Kingsman- NCT WISH "Hands Up"- Kingsman Official

It's a cover of Hands Up, the pre-debut single by NCT WISH (formerly NCT New Team), the newest and first Japanese sub-unit of NCT. Hands Up was released last October. Kingsman are a dance group from Malaysia.

This was the group's first J-pop dance cover (the rest are K-pop ones). They said that they hoped to be the first cover group in the world to have a dance cover of Hands Up and I think they were one of the first ones! The video was uploaded in December. The dancers are Kayden as Sakyua, Ming as Riku, Leon as Sion, Brian as Yushi, Jam as Ryo and Dylan as Daeyoung.

25th Anniversary of Mariah Carey's Butterfly Album

The original album was released on 16th September 1997 and featured songs such as her hit single Honey, The Roof and My All. New J.Lo and JoJo Music

Two singers I like, Jennifer Lopez and JoJo have new music out, so today I'm sharing it on the blog! Jennifer Lopez- Baila Conmigo First up is Jennifer Lopez, whose new song is the Spanish language Baila Conmigo (Dance with Me). It's a cover of the 2018 single by Dayvi featuring Kelly Ruiz . New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. The first series featured 3 couples expecting babies- Lily Bennett and her boyfriend James Kennedy who have daughter Aaliyah, now 2;  Mckayla Adkins and partner Caelan Morrison who have son Timothy, also known as Timmy (and now daughter Gracelynn , born in January 2019), and  Lexus Scheller and boyfriend Shayden Massey who have daughter Scarlett. Season 2 saw the departure of Lilly and the addition of 3 new pregnant girls and their partners- Laura Barron and her boyfriend (now husband) Tylor Stawmyor who have son Lucas (and have since had another baby , a 2nd son, who is named Leo),
