K-pop in Public- BLACKPINK Dances

It's been a while since I did a K-pop in Public post, so today I'm sharing some new Korean music dance covers. This is the BLACKPINK edition! :)

 

[K-POP IN PUBLIC] [ONE TAKE] BLACKPINK X PUBG MOBILE- Ready for Love- LUMNINANCE

First up is a K-pop cover from this summer- Russian dance group LUMINANCE's version of BLACKPINK's Ready For Love (a collaboration with mobile video game PUBG MOBILE which Turkish Belgian singer Hadise also teamed up with last year!), which was released in July.

The dancers are Dinara, Polly, Nata and Mint. It's a one take video (shot all in one go) and it premiered on 15th August.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC NYC] PINK VENOM- BLACKPINK Dance Cover by CLEAR

Next is a dance cover of BLACKPINK's recent single PINK VENOM by American dance group CLEAR OFFICIAL. It's part of the PINK VENOM challenge, which ran from August to September and saw BLACKPINK fans (known as BLINKs) post videos of themselves dancing to the track. (Search #pinkvenomchallenge on YouTube.)

The video features Yunah, Gina, Mia and Jiwon performing in New York City and premiered on 10th September.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC PARIS | ONE TAKE] BLACKPINK- Shut Down Dance Cover by Impact

Here is a cover of Shut Down, the second single from the girl group's latest album Born Pink, both of which came out on 16th September. It's performed by Impact Official, a 14-member K-pop/hip hop dance group from France.

The performance was part of a 24-hour challenge and took place in Paris. The dancers are Emry,  Salomé, Emma and Awa, and the video premiered on 23rd September.

BLACKPINK- 'Shut Down' Dance Practice Cover - Ellen and Brian

Finally, here is another cover of Shut Down, this time a dance practice one. It's by Ellen and Brian (Ellen Min and Brian Li), a Chinese American husband and wife team (or wife and husband team!), who started dancing together in 2010.

Ellen does a solo performance in this video, which was uploaded on 24th September.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
