Dance Videos Round-up 2023

We're almost to the end of the year (November again already!), so today I'm sharing a round-up of dance videos featured on the blog during 2023. Plus a couple of new videos :)

Dalie Dance Tutorial | Kamo Mphela- Amapiano Tutorial by Presh Okosi 

This is a dance tutorial by Nigerian Afro-Dancer and dance tutor Presh Okosi. In this video she's teaching dance moves from the Dalie Dance Challenge, an amapiano dance challenge that is trending on TikTok. Amapiano is a South African music genre. 

The challenge is where people film themselves dancing to the new single Dalie by South African dancer and singer Kamo Mphela, Khalil Harrison and DJ and record producer Tyler ICU, and featuring Baby S.O.N. It came out last month.

Presh's video was uploaded on 29th October.

[DANCE IN PUBLIC | ONE TAKE] XG- PUPPET SHOW- Dance Cover by 8MUSE

And here is a Dance in Public cover, to PUPPET SHOW, the latest single by Japanese girl group XG. As I've previously mentioned, XG dance covers are in a similar style to K-pop in Public and J-pop in Public etc. but they tend to be listed under "Dance in Public". (Sometimes as J-pop in Public.) The reason is that although the members are Japanese, they are considered a global group and their songs so far have been in English. 

PUPPET SHOW is from XG's debut mini album NEW DNA. Both single and mini album were released in September.

The dance cover is performed by 8MUSE, a dance team from Taiwan. It features Nabi as Cocona, Bliss as Jurin, Luzi as Hinata, Angela as Chisa, K as Maya, Hana as Harvey and Eva as Juria. The video was uploaded on 29th October.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
