K-pop Music and Dance Round-up 2021

Back in September 2015 I had a J-pop and K-pop themed month, where I exclusively shared Japanese and Korean music. It actually extended into October due to computer problems. Since then, K-pop has grown in popularity and I've regularly featured Korean music (and more recently dance) on the blog.

(K-POP IN PUBLIC ONE TAKE) SISTAR- Touch my body- BLOOM's (Russia)

Finally, here is a new K-pop in Public video. This is a dance cover of the 2014 single Touch my Body by girl group SISTAR, who have now disbanded. It's by Russian K-pop cover dance group BLOOM's. They are from Moscow and the main members are Masha, Anastasia and Yana.

The video was uploaded in July.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
