K-pop in Public- More LESSERAFIM Dances

Last month I wrote a K-pop in Public post featuring dance covers of songs by Korean girl group LE SSERAFIM. You can see it here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2024/07/k-pop-in-public-dances-le-sserafim.html

There are quite a lot of LE SSERAFIM covers and I wasn't able to fit all the ones I liked into one post. So today I'm sharing some more! :)


[KPOP IN PUBLIC LONDON] LE SSERAFIM 'Blue Flame' ONE TAKE Cover- BL00M

First up is a dance cover of Blue Flame. It's a song from LE SSERAFIM's debut EP FEARLESS, which was released in May 2022. It also appeared on their debut studio album UNFORGIVEN (as a new 2023 version), which came out in May 2023.

The cover is performed by Australian dance cover group BL00M  and was uploaded to YouTube in August 2022. This is a one-take cover (meaning it was filmed all in one go).

[KPOP IN PUBLIC] LE SSERAFIM 'Blue Flame' DANCE COVER- 4REIGN

And this is a newer cover (from this year) of Blue Flame. It's performed by 4REIGN Dance Group, an Orlando, Florida (USA) based cover group/dance crew.

The video was uploaded in June.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC | ONE TAKE] - 'EASY' Dance Cover- M-MIXX

Next up is a dance cover of EASY, my favourite LE SSERAFIM song! :) It was their 5th Korean single and one of their most popular to date. It was released in February as the lead single from the EP of the same name.

The cover is performed M-MIXX OFFICIAL from Australia Their channel is a K-pop cover dance  one  (created by Marion) with no fixed members. The video premiered in April and features Marion as Eunchae, Stella as Kazuha, Summer as Chaewon, Akiko as Yunjin and Sally as Sakura.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC SAN FRANCISCO/ONE TAKE]  'EASY' by LE SSERAFIM Dance Cover by GROOBEU

And here is another EASY cover, by American cover group GROOBEU. This was filmed in San Francisco and premiered in May. It's a one-take cover.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC TURKIYE] LE SSERAFIM - 'SMART' Dance Cover by CHOS7N

Here is a cover of Smart, the group's latest single, released in March. It's by CHOS7N,  a Turkish dance group based in Istanbul.

Note: I've noticed that in some of the Smart covers the dancers wear coin belts or hip scarves similar to what people wear for belly dancing (similar to what the LE SSERAFIM members wear in the music video). 

Talking of Turkey and belly dance, I did learn some Turkish belly dance years ago. Most of the classes and workshops I've attended have been more Egyptian/Egyptian fusion style though. 

The video was uploaded in March and features Lara as Kazuha, Ezgi as Yunjin, Defne as Sakura,  İpek as Eunchae and Doğa as Chaewon.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC CHALLENGE | ONE TAKE] LE SSERAFIM 'Smart' Dance Cover- Luminarytw

Here is another Smart dance cover. This one is by Luminary/tw, a dance cover crew from Taiwan. It premiered in April and features Kelly as Sakura, Alice as Chaewon, Charlize as Yunjin, Katrina as Kazuha and Kiwi as Eunchae.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC] LE SSERAFIM - 'SMART' Dance Cover by NATANA

Finally, here is another Smart dance cover, this time by NATANA Crew. They are a dance crew from Melbourne, Australia. The name NATANA symbolises the emergence of their young crew's passion for performance. 

The video was filmed during winter in Australia (premiering in June), but the Natana girls wanted to bring summer back! The dancers are JOLIE as Chaewon, FELICIA as Sakura, MAGGIE as Yunjin, AMY as Kazuha and LAURYN as Eunchae.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
