K-pop in Public- Boys' Edition 3!

Sorry the 2nd post is later this week; I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :)

My last post was over two years ago, so I thought it was time for another one. Here is K-pop in Public- Boys' Edition 3! :)

 

[FRÁME CHOREOGRAPHY] MINISKIRT - AOA | MALE VERSION PERFORMANCE VIDEO 

In the past year or so, I've shared covers of Miniskirt, the single by girl group AOA. It was released back in January 2014 and was the lead single from their 5th single album of the same name.

There has been a trend of nostalgic K-pop dance covers in the past couple of years, with older songs being covered and Miniskirt sees to be the most popular. You can see the covers in my Girl Group Classics post: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2025/06/k-pop-in-public-girl-group-classics.html

I also shared a dance cover by KPOC in my Dance Videos Round-up 2025 post at the end of last year.

Now here is a male cover for a change! It's actually a dance cover of the male vocal cover performed Chinese YouTuber Yihao Xing. He uploaded it YouTube in October last year. I've had it saved in my Wath Later playlist on YouTube for quite a while but hadn't got round to posting it!

The dance cover is performed by Framevalenkung from Thailand and was choreographed by FRÁME. The video was uploaded last October and the dancers are FRÁME, TERM, POB, PIPER and YUKI.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC] - [ONE TAKE] KAI 'Wait On Me' | Dance Cover by INEXUS

Next up is a solo dance cover. It's a cover of Wait On Me by KAI (member of boy band EXO and the currently inactive group SuperM), and solo singer). I also featured some dance covers of his debut solo single MMHH in my very first Boys Edition post! 

Wait On Me is the title track from KAI's 4th mini album which was released in April 2025. It was the second single from the EP, coming after Adult Swim (both of which were alo released in April last year.

The dance cover is by INEXUS TALENT, a dance group based in London, UK. The video was uploaded in June 2025 and is a one-take (filmed all in one go). It features Felix as KAI. See the YT description box for the names of the back-up dancers. :)

[K-POP IN PUBLIC] LNGSHOT - 'FaceTime' Dance Cover

And here is a cover of FaceTime by boy band LNGSHOT, who were formed by Korean American rapper and singer Jay Park. It's not a single but a song from the group's debut EP SHOT CALLERS, released in January.

The dance cover is by Ye Yint Thway (and friends!) and was uploaded in July. Makes me think more of a music video than a dance cover, to be honest, which is cool. :)

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. C-pop Saturday

Time for another instalment of my semi-regular series C-pop Saturday! Today I'm sharing some Chinese pop,R'n'B and dance. :)   MEME- Wei Xian Ren Wu First up is Wei Xian Ren Wu by Taiwanese girl group MEME (also written as ME ME). It consists of 5 members- Xiao Feng,  Xiao Ti, Strawberry and An Ru. I believe their Chinese name is a homophone of "secret", which, according to info on their  YouTube channel , "evokes a sense of mystery and reflects the members' commitment to innovate and bring unpredictable surprises to their audience" through their work.  Please note: I used Google Translate, so I hope this information is accurate! :) MEME debuted in June 2024 with the single MY BLACK EYES. To date they have released two more singles- Seaside Tour in February this year and Tian Kong Qing Niao (Bluebird in the Sky/Sky Bluebird) in April. Individual members have also released songs.  The title of this song is written in Chinese but I think that the Roma...
