New K-pop Videos

Time for the first post of 2021! Hope everyone had a good New Year. :) 

I'm starting off with a couple of new K-pop videos. My last post just focusing on K-pop was in June, so it's been a while!

BoA- Better

First up is Better by veteran singer BoA. It's from her 10th album, also called BETTER, and was released on 1st December.

BoA is one of the most popular Korean solo stars (she is also well known in other Asian countries),  and  celebrated 20 years in the music business last summer! 

The BETTER album is BoA's 20th studio album (10th Korean language). The title track single also came out on 1st Dec.

KAI- Mmmh

This is Mmmh, the debut solo single of KAI (real name Kim Jong-in, or Jong-in Kim in the Western way) from boyband EXO and the supergroup SuperM. It's from his self-titled debut solo mini album which was released in November.

Mmmh actually came out on 29th November, so it's "new-ish" but I've been seeing the video a lot recently on the K-pop show Pops in Seoul. The song has a sultry vibe and sticks in your head.

NCT 2020- Resonance

Finally, here is RESONANCE,  the new single from boyband NCT. The group is made up of several units,  and this track sees all 23 members together. It is a compilation of 4 songs from NCT 2020 RESONANCE, the second studio album by the entire group. 

The album was released in two parts, Part 1 on 12th October and Part 2 on 23rd November. All 21 members from current units participated and 2 new members joined, Shotari and Sungchan.

The sub units are NCT U, 127, Dream and WayV (China based).  All the units have fixed members apart from NCT U, which changes members depending on the concept. RESONANCE is a mix of the songs Make A Wish (Birthday Song), 90s Love, Work It and Raise The Roof. It was released on 4th December.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
