Weekly Music Video

This week's video is 3D by Korean singer Jung Kook (also written as Jungkook) and featuring American rapper Jack Harlow. Jung Kook's full name is Jeon Jung Kook (his surname/family name is Jeon) and he is a member of famous K-pop boy band BTS.

After previously having recorded several solo songs for BTS albums and collaborating with American singer Charlie Puth on the single Left and Right and the FIFA World Cup with the song Dreamers in 2022, Jung Kook launched his official solo career this year. He released his debut single Seven featuring American rapper Latto in July, the first single off his then upcoming debut album.

Jung Kook brought out 3D in September. He also teamed up with Australian singer The Kid LAROI and British rapper Central Cee for the recent single Too Much. Jung Kook's debut solo album GOLDEN was released on 3rd November, along with the new single Standing Next to You. GOLDEN's songs are all English language since it's for the overseas market. The album's title refers to the golden moments of his solo career and also his nickname of the Golden Maknae, "Maknae" referring to Jung Kook being the youngest member of BTS.

3D is a pop/R'n'B song about having feelings for a person who is unattainable. It was the second single from GOLDEN and came out on 29th September, debuting at No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart. This makes Jung Kook the first Korean solo artist to have two Top 5 singles in the UK. In addition to rapping on the track, Jack Harlow co-wrote it.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
