Dance in Public Videos- One Take Edition!

Sorry the 2nd post is later this week, I didn't feel up to writing much yesterday. :)


Time for the first dance video post of the year! Today I'm sharing some Dance in Public videos (cover dances performed in public places), mostly K-pop in Public. :)

The theme of this post is "one take" videos, meaning that they were filmed all in one go. 


[KPOP IN PUBLIC RUSSIA ONE TAKE] KARD- CAKE- Patata Party 

First up is a cover of CAKE by K-pop co-ed/mixed gender group KARD, which is a song from their 6th mini album ICKY, released last May. The title track also came out in May but I don't think CAKE  was an official single. The song and choreography shocked fans last year with the sexy content!

The dance is performed by Patata Party, a cover dance team from Moscow, Russia. The video was uploaded in November and features Olya as Somin, Maslina as Jiwoo, Lesha as BM and Songe as J.Seph.

[Kpop in Public |ONE TAKE] XG- 'Puppet Show'- Peachu

Next is an XG cover! As I've previously mentioned, XG are a Japanese girl group but sing in English and are marketed as a "global group". Their creation was also based on the K-pop format, so sometimes their dance covers are listed as K-pop in Public. They're also listed under J -pop or X-pop in Public.

This is a cover of PUPPET SHOW,  one of my favourite XG songs. It's the most recent single and taken from their debut mini album NEW DNA, both released last September. The cover is performed by Peachu, another Taiwanese dance cover group. 

The video was uploaded in November. The dancers are Bujon as Hinata, Tsai Ling as Cocona, Kaiqi as Chisa, Melody as Harvey, Xin Xin as Juria, Alissa as Maya and Emily as Jurin.

[DANCE IN PUBLIC] XG- Puppet Show | ONE TAKE  Dance Cover- Archery Star

And here's another cover of XG's PUPPET SHOW, also from November. This one is performed by  Archery Star Crew. They are an Australian dance crew, formed in 2018.

The dancers are Rose as Jurin, Irene as Chisa, Joy as Juria, TianQi as Maya, Macaria as Cocona, Graceline s Harvey and Evey as Hinata.

[KPOP IN PUBLIC ONE TAKE] JENNIE 'You & Me' Dance Cover- Mermaids Taiwan 

Finally, here is a cover of You & Me, a solo single by Jennie Kim (known as Jennie, sometimes stylised all in capitals) from Korean girl group BLACKPINK. It was released last October as a special single and is an English language song. Jennie had previously performed it on BLACKPINK's Born Pink World Tour.

The dance cover is performed by Mermaids Taiwan and the main dancer aka "JENNIE" is Kimberley. See the YouTube description box for the names of the rest of the dancers. :)

The video was uploaded in December.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
