 Time for the first dance videos post of 2021! Today I'm sharing a variety of dance styles. :) 


How to Do 5 Basic Afrobeat Legwork in 12 MINUTES- Presh Okosi

First up is some African dance. This is a 12-minute tutorial by Nigerian dancer Presh Okosi, where she teaches us how to do basic Afrobeat legwork. It's beginner friendly.

Ariana Grande No Tears Left to Cry cover by EVERGLOW

Here is a Western/K-pop mashup! This is the Korean girl group EVERGLOW doing a dance to the 2018 single no tears left to cry (written in lower case) by American singer Ariana Grande. 

The dance was inspired by a Jojo Gomez choreography. The video was uploaded in February last year and is from STUDIO CHOOM, a YouTube channel which specialises in K-pop dances.

Ariana Grande Positions Dance Choreo by LiveToDance With Sonali

Here is another Ariana dance, this time to Positions! It was choregraphed by Sonali Bhaduria of LiveToDance With Sonali. She dances to both Bollywood and Western songs.

(KPOP IN PUBLIC)- The Stealer by The Boyz Dance Cover- RISIN'

Now onto some K-pop in Public! This is a dance cover of boyband The Boyz' 2020 single The Stealer, It's by French dance group RISIN' CREW.

It's an all-boy dance and the dancers are Liam, Allan, Jo, Baptiste, Brian, Hanzel, JoJo, Fred, Leo and Elvis. The video premiered in October, and the intro song is The Boyz' Insanity.

(KPOP IN PUBLIC PARIS) DREAMCATCHER- Boca Dance Cover by RISIN

Finally, here is another dance by RISIN'. This time it's the girls' turn, dancing to Boca by K-pop/metal girl band Dreamcatcher. The dancers are Adele, Alexia, Nada, Thevana, Myiram and Sua.

The video was uploaded in October.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. The first series featured 3 couples expecting babies- Lily Bennett and her boyfriend James Kennedy who have daughter Aaliyah, now 2;  Mckayla Adkins and partner Caelan Morrison who have son Timothy, also known as Timmy (and now daughter Gracelynn , born in January 2019), and  Lexus Scheller and boyfriend Shayden Massey who have daughter Scarlett. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
