It's less than a week till Christmas, so time for my annual Christmas post! Last year I did two which you can read at the links below:

Mabel- Loneliest Time Of Year

BoA feat. Crush- Starry Night

Next up is Starry Night, a winter themed love song by popular Korean singer BoA and featuring Crush. It's from BoA's new mini album of the same name which was released on 11th December.

The song is in Korean and the video is set in New York at Christmas. Click "Subtitles/closed captions" while watching on YouTube to see English subtitles! :) 





THEO (Zhu Zhengting)- The Winter Light

This is a winter song from THEO (real name Zhu Zhengting), former member of Chinese boyband Nine Percent and leader of C-pop boyband NEX7.* It's in Chinese (not sure which language, maybe Mandarin?).

This isn't a new song or an actual Christmas one, but more about the season of winter I think, so I've included it. :) It's an audio and was released in January.

Kelly Rowland- Love You More At Christmas Time

Kelly Rowland (member of now disbanded American girl group Destiny's Child turned solo singer) has a new single for the festive season called Love You More at Christmas Time. It's a chilled, R'n'B song. This is an audio and it was uploaded on 22nd November.

JoJo- The Christmas Song

Finally American singer JoJo has released her own version of  the classic The Christmas Song, exclusively on Amazon Music.

Update 23/12/19: Just came across this today and had to add it because Mariah is my favourite singer! :)

 Mariah Carey- All I Want for Christmas Is You (Make My Wish Come True Edition)

American singer Mariah Carey has made a new music video for her famous song All I Want For Christmas Is You which premiered on 19th December. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of her first Christmas album she has released a new 2-CD Deluxe Anniversary Edition, which is available now. The original song has only just reached No. 1 in the US Billboard Hot 100 Charts! I thought it would have got to No. 1 before now.

The video features a little girl discovering Mariah's magical Christmas world, and her twins Moroccan and Monrore ("DemBabies") also make an appearance.

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. The first one was about BLACKPINK and you can see it here:  https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2026/03/k-pop-comebacks-blackpink.html Today I'm focusing on BTS (one of the most popular Korean boybands ). They debuted in 2013 and are a 7-member group, made up of leader RM, formerly known as Rap Monster (real name Kim Nam Joon), SUGA (Min Yoon Gi), Jin (full name Kim Seok Jin), j-hope (Jung Ho-seok), Jimin (Park Ji Min), V (Kim Tae Hyung) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook). * Since then, the boys have been very successful, not only in South Korea but internationally. Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album.
