New Music for 2021- Part 2

Mr Eazi feat. J. Balvin- Lento

Nigerian singer and producer Mr Eazi has teamed up with Colombian singer J Balvin for the song Lento.  It's sung in a mixture of Spanish, English and Yoruba which is a cool mix! It was also inspired by Merengue singer Elvis Crespo's song Suvamente.  Lento means "Slow" in English.

Lento is Mr Eazi and J Balvin's third collaboration together, but their first actual single release. It actually came out in early December, but the music video was uploaded on 22nd Dec. Since we're still in January, I thought I'd share it today!

Jennifer Lopez- In The Morning

One of my favourite singers Jennifer Lopez released her new single In The Morning back in November. And now a video has been released this month.

The video for In The Morning video premiered on 15th January and symbolises a dark, one-sided relationship. There's no word on a new album yet, but I'll keep you updated! :)



Also, Jennifer just celebrated 20 years of her album J.Lo. It was also 20 years in December since the lead single Love Don't Cost A Thing was released. I remember when they both came out, seems crazy that it's been so long! lol.

CHUNG HA- X 

Now onto some K-pop! This is X, the 3rd single by Korean singer Chung Ha. It's from her first studio album Querencia, due out on 15th February. I think the title is the Spanish word for "Haunt".

X was released on 19th January.

 



ZAYN feat. Syd- When Love's Around

Two weeks ago, I featured British singer Zayn's new single in the Part 1 post. It's from his new album Nobody Is Listening. Here's another song from the album that I like. It's called When Love's Around and features American singer Syd.

JoJo- American Mood

Finally, here's a brand new song from American singer JoJo. It's called American Mood and is a folk style song. JoJo and her friends wrote it a few years ago, and she says that it still applies now (to America's current situation. I think). 

American Mood came out today. Proceeds from the single go to the I Have a Dream Foundation which helps young people from low-income communities.

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
