A few weeks ago I wrote a post sharing some new music for 2024. You can see that here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2024/01/new-music-for-2024.html
Today I'm sharing some more new releases, from a variety of genres. :)
Jennifer Lopez feat. Latto- Can't Get Enough Remix
Last month Jennifer Lopez (one of my favourite singers) released the single Can't Get Enough. It's from her new album This Is Me...Now, which is due out on 16th February. I featured the music video in my first new music post.
J.Lo now has a remix for Can't Get Enough, which features American rapper Latto. I like this version slightly more. I find that does happen with remixes sometimes. Some of Jennifer's remixes. I've liked more than the original, such as the I'm Real Murder Remix with Ja Rule and Im Gonna Be Alright (Track Masters Remix) with Nas.
The Can't Get Enough remix video premiered on 29th January.
Plus, there is another remix of Can't Get Enough by Bruno Martini. Listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AkZGyVT0qk
Ayra Starr- Commas
Now for some African music! Benin born, Nigerian singer Ayra Starr's latest single Commas came out on 1st February. She describes the song as her "love letter to people who have rejected her at any point".
Commas is sung in English and also Pidgin and Yoruba, I think. This is a lyric video.

TEN- Lie With You
Thai singer Ten who is a member of K-pop boy band NCT and its sub units NCT U and WayV (Chinese unit), is set to release his debt mini album TEN on 13th February. He brought out his first solo single Dream In A Dream back in April 2017 and since then has released several more singles- New Heroes, Paint Me Naked ,Low Low with Yang Yang (fellow NCT/WayV member) and Birthday (some as part of the SM Station project).
He also teamed up with another NCT member Taeyong (both Ten and Taeyong belong to SuperM as well) for the single Baby Don't Stop in February 2018.
Lie With You is an English language song. It's listed as a "track video", which I think mean that it's from the album but not an official single. Lyrics are on the screen, so it's also a lyric video.

Black Sherif & Mabel- Zero
Finally, here is an African/Western crossover! Ghanaian singer and rapper Black Sherif has a brand new single with Swedish/British singer Mabel called Zero. I featured a new remix of Mabel's Finder Keepers song in the previous new music post.
Black Sherif's real name is Mohammed Ismail Sherif and he started out his career on YouTube, releasing the song Cry for Me on the platform in 2019. His artist name was originally Blacko. He brought out his debut single Money in 2020 and saw his popularity rise with the release of the single First Sermon a year later.
The follow-up single Second Sermon (released in July 2021) was a success globally and Nigerian singer Burna Boy did a remix for the song. In March 2022 Black Sheriff brought out the single Kwaku the Traveller, which is considered his breakthrough hit, reaching No. 1 in the Ghanaian and Nigerian Apple Music Charts, and doing well in other countries. He released his debut album The Villain I Never Was in October 2022.
Black Sherif's other singles include Konongo Zongo and January 9th. His music is a mix of Ghanaian highlife, drill (in particular asakaa, a sub genre of Ghanaian drill music. It's also influenced by hip hop and reggae. His lyrics are often in his first language Twi (an Akan dialect) and also sometimes in Pidgin.
Zero is Black Sherif's latest single and features vocals from Mabel. It was released yesterday (9th February). Please note that the song contains explicit lyrics. :)
