Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Put It Down by Adanna Duru and Mannywellz. Adanna is Nigerian American and Mannywellz (real name Emmanuel Ajomale) is originally from Nigeria and moved to America with his mum and siblings when he was 9. 

Mannywellz comes from a musical family, since his dad is the Nigerian gospel singer Kunle Ajomale and his siblings and cousin are also into music. He released his debut EP WellZ in 2014, followed by SoulFro in 2018. In 2020 he brought out the album Mirage.

Mannywellz's music is a mix of R'n'B, hip hop and West African. His singles include Love & Loyalty with American rapper Wale, (who also has Nigerian heritage) Floating with Nigerian-American sister duo VanJess (now disbanded) and Di Do/No Closure. To date he has released 3 more EPs- META (2019), Don't Tell and Mr Oúlala (both 2023).

Put It Down is the 2nd single from NAPPY HOUR II, coming after last October's if i was a boy ;) (written in lower case). It was released in December. This is the official lyric video.

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. The first series featured 3 couples expecting babies- Lily Bennett and her boyfriend James Kennedy who have daughter Aaliyah, now 2;  Mckayla Adkins and partner Caelan Morrison who have son Timothy, also known as Timmy (and now daughter Gracelynn , born in January 2019), and  Lexus Scheller and boyfriend Shayden Massey who have daughter Scarlett.
