This week's video is On The Low by Nigerian singer Burna Boy. His real name is Damini Ogulo and he is from Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He's also lived in England. His grandad is broadcaster and music critic Benson Idonije, on of the founders of Radio Nigeria.

Burna Boy started out in music in late 2010, but his real breakthrough single was Like To Party, released in summer 2012. His other singles include Tonight, Yawa Dey, Run My Race , Soke, Gbona and On The Low.

Burna Boy's type of music is known as Afrofusion, and to date he has released 2 mixtapes and 3 albums. His latest LP is OUTSIDE which came out last year. The title track features Swedish/British singer Mabel. In 2015 he founded his own record label OnASpaceship.

On The Low came out in November. I first saw the video on an Afrobeats TV progamme last month.

Unexpected Girls Updates

Back in September I did a post about the American reality TV show Unexpected. You can read it here: There have been two seasons (or series as we also call it in the UK ) so far. There will be a 3rd one  featuring mums Lexus, Mckayla and Chloe (Chloe joined in Series 2). Emiley who joined in Season 2, says she isn't returning (see below) so. Laura (who also joined in S2) will also not be back (see below for more on that). Original cast member Lexus shared a casting call on her Instagram page in November, so it seems the company is looking for new girls due to give birth from March to June 2019. Check out the post here; The gossip site Starcasm also reports that Unexpected's producers are casting for a new programme:  Note: Starcasm sometimes slows my c

Top 10 True Movies

I like watching films based on true stories. I used to watch them occasionally as a child and teen but I started watching them more after the True Movies channels (True Movies 1 and True Movies 2) launched on Sky 11 years ago. It seems weird that it's been so long, lol. I usually watch the films on those channels (or True Entertainment) but I also sometimes watch them on Lifetime or other channels. (I think a lot of these are Lifetime original movies but we didn't get the Lifetime channel in the UK until late 2013). I thought that today I'd share my Top 10 True Movies. :) Trigger warning: Most of the films are based on crimes (often murder or abuse) and I realise these are difficult subjects, so read with caution if you're sensitive to these type of films. Posts may contain spoilers. Unless otherwise stated, videos are trailers. :) 1. Indecent Seduction (1996) This is also known as For My Daughter's Honor but they show it in the UK under Indecent Sed

Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant UK

The Teen Mom universe keeps growing! This month sees the start of a brand new spin-off- a UK version of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant . The original Teen Mom, now re-named Teen Mom OG (itself a spin-off on the American reality show 16 and Pregnant , which follows pregnant teenagers) started in 2009 and there have been several other shows since- Teen Mom 2 , Teen Mom 3 (cancelled after one season), Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant and Teen Mom: Young Moms Club (formerly Pretty Little Mamas). There have also been several international versions, including Teen Mom UK and Teen Mom Australia . Series 6 of TM: UK just finished and now the British version of Young and Pregnant is due to start next week. TM: Young and Pregnant UK follows 4 new girls- Charlie, Alisha, Laura and Charlotte who are all expecting babies. When TM UK started only Mia Boardman was pregnant but this time all of the mums were pregnant during filming. (Which makes sense since this is "young and pregnant"! lol
