Top 10 Jennifer Lopez songs

I thought it was time for another Top 10 list. Jennifer Lopez is one of my favourite singers, so here's my list of my Top 10 favourite J.Lo songs!

1. If You  Had My Love

This is Jennifer's debut single and my favourite of  hers. I remember I bought it in Paris in 1999 when I was 15, so it reminds me of that time! It's from her debut album On The 6 (1999).

2. I'm Real- Murder Remix feat. Ja Rule

This is the remix of Jennifer's song I'm Real and it features rapper Ja Rule. I actually prefer this to the original I'm Real, although I like that too. The song came out in 2001. It wasn't on the original version of the J.Lo album but is included on the second release with extra tracks and is also on J To Tha L-O! The Remixes (2002).

3. Love Don't Cost A Thing

This track was the first single from J.Lo and I think it was one of her most popular. Her second husband Cris Judd is one of the dancers in the video.

4. Get Right Hip Hop Mix feat. Fabolous

This is the remix of Get Right,  a song on J.Lo's Rebirth album (2005). The remix isn't on the album, which I thought was a shame at the time because I really liked it but I ended up buying it on iTunes a few years later.  I prefer it to the original Get Right.

5. Still

Still is from the album This Is Me...Then (2002).  It's an old fashioned sounding song, sounds a bit 70s to me. There isn't a video for this because it wasn't released as a single.

6. Gotta Be There

This song is on Jennifer's 6th studio album Brave (2007). It's my fave song from the album. It never came out as a single either.

7. I'm Into You

I'm Into You is from Jennifer's 7th album LOVE? (2011). I don't like this album as much as her others, it's more dancey rather than R'nB but this is the best song on it, in my opinion.

8. Run The World

Another song from LOVE? and my second favourite.

9.Hold It Don't Drop It

This is my second fave song from Brave. It was the second single to be released, after Do It Well.

10. I'm Gonna Be Alright (Track Masters Remix) feat. Nas

The remix for I'm Gonna Be Alright, a single from J.LO. I prefer it to the original again. Cris Judd features in this video too.

Hope you liked the list! For more J.Lo songs, visit this link:

J Soul Brothers (Japanese boyband)

I don't know that many Japanese boybands. It's funny but I mostly know Korean groups and Japanese solo singers! I know KAT-TUN, Arashi (although they're more of a rock group, I think) and Hey! Say! JUMP but not many more. A friend recently introduced to me the band (or vocal and dance unit) J Soul Brothers, so I thought today I'd do a post about them. And of course it fits into the J-pop and K-pop theme I'm doing this month! This is a good opportunity to find more J-pop boybands too. :)

The J Soul Brothers were originally formed in 1998 but have gone through two line-up changes. The current incarnation- full title Sandaime (Third Generation) J Soul Brothers from EXILE TRIBE* or J Soul Brothers III- was formed in 2010 by HIRO who is the leader of Japanese boyband EXILE (which has an impressive 19 members!) and founding member of the First Generation J Soul Brothers.  It was decided that EXILE and former Nidaimie (Second Generation) J Soul Brothers members NAOTO and …

Dance Videos

It's time for another dance post! I thought I'd feature both modern dance and belly dance today. :)

First of all here are a couple of dance videos by choreographer Rumer Noel. This is one to Everyday by Ariana Grande that was uploaded in January. According to comments on YouTube the man dancing with Rumer at the beginning is called Lucas la Parada.

So Sharp: Dance Squad

So Sharp: Dance Squad is an American reality TV series about the University of Louisville Ladybird Dance Team run by Todd Sharp. It's set in Louisville, Kentucky. As you'll know if you follow this blog, I'm a fan of dance reality shows such as Dance Moms and Bring It! So I was interested when So Sharp started in the UK a few weeks ago.

Todd is head coach along with Sheryl Knight, a former Ladybird herself. Todd has also coached the Floyd Central Dazzlers. The team have won 15 national championships so far.

As with the other dance reality shows, there's a lot of drama! Marissa Hall is close to Todd and describes him as like a father to her. She is considered one if the best dancers and her close relationship with Todd rubs some people up the wrong way, particularly Michelle Carpenter. Rose Crombie is one of Marissa's main rivals but according to the Decidr article about the team (see below) they're close. Gabrielle Iannone struggles sometimes with the choreograp…
