Dance Videos- Couples' Edition 2!

Nearly 3 years ago, I wrote a dance videos post featuring couples' dances (plus one group dance). You can see that here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2021/07/dance-videos.html

I thought it would be fun to do another edition, so here it is! :)

 

Sonali X Aadil- Dhoom Dhoom 

First up, some Bollywood! Here is a dance to Dhoom Dhoom by Thai singer Tata Young, from the 2004 Bollywood film Dhoom. There's also another version called Dhoom Machale.

It's performed by Sonali of LiveToDance with Sonali and Aadil. It's a YouTube short and was uploaded a couple of months ago.

Sonali X Aadil- Dhadhand Dhang- Rowdy Rathore

And here is another dance by Sonali and Aadi, this time to Dhadhang Dhang from Rowdy Rathore (2012), an action film that stars Akshay Kumar.

This is also a short and was uploaded last month.

[COUPLE DANCE IN PUBLIC] TOBI - 'HOTEL LOBBY' - BTB

Now here is some T-pop (Thai pop)! Vietnamese dance group BTB did a couples' Dance in Public performance to Swiss/Thai rapper and singer Tobii's latest single Hotel Lobby. It follows his hit single Bad Girls Like You (released last September) which inspired many dance covers. 

Hotel Lobby came out in March. It's a hip hop/R'n'B song with a mixture of Thai and English lyrics. As with Bad Girls Like You, Thai dance studio MINIZIZE choreographed a dance to the song. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLH0SlzTfgA

B.T.B is a dance cover team based in Hanoi and they were established in 2023. They put their own spin on the Hotel Lobby dance trend by dancing in couples, which is cool! The video premiered on 21st April.

[DANCE IN PUBLIC] BADA LEE Choreography- "RODEO" | BEBE X WEDEMBOYZ- Giifty 

And here is a dance cover of the remix of Rodeo by American singer and rapper Lah Pat, which features American rapper Flo Milli, which was released in June 2023. It samples Ginuwine's Pony.

The dance was choregraphed by South Korean dancer and choreographer Bada Lee. She is part of the Korean all-female dance crew BEBE and I think that they originally performed the Rodeo choreo at the showcase for a competition by HARU DANCE last October, alongside male dance team We Dem Boyz.

The video was filmed in Covent Garden in London and premiered on 23rd April.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
