Dance in Public/T-pop in Public- Bad Girls Like You (Tobii)

Last year I wrote several dance themed posts and now here is my first one of 2025! :)

The single Bad Girls Like You by Swiss/Thai rapper and singer Tobii has been a hit in recent months. It was released last September and is an R'n'B song with a mixture of Thai and English lyrics.

Bad Girls Like You has also become a popular in the cover dance world, with quite a few dance covers (Dance in Public). The trend likely started after Thai dance studio MINIZIZE choreographed a dance version in September. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6IF1ZLiEZg

Tobii also teamed up with MINIZIZE for a dance performance of his latest single X Mas Love.

And now here are some dance covers of Bad Girls Like You. Some of them are listed as Dance in Public and others as T-pop (Thai pop) in Public.

First up is a cover by CAC Official, a dance group from Vietnam. This is a cover of the MINIZIZE choreography and was uploaded in November.

[DANCE PUBLIC] Tobii- 'Bad Girls Like You' DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY- B-CROWN

Next is a cover by another Vietnamese dance group, B-Crown. The majority of the dance covers just have female dancers, but this one features both female and male dancers, which is cool.

[24HR CHALLENGE] TOBII - 'BAD GIRLS LIKE YOU' | Dance Cover (Minizize Choreography)- Autumn

Here is another cover of the Minizize choreo. Its perfomed by Autumn (a K-pop cover dancer) and friends Zofia and Jayna, and was part of a 24 hour challenge

Bad Girls Like You was the first Thai dance on Autumn's channel and premiered on 22nd December.

[DANCE IN PUBLIC] BAD GIRLS LIKE YOU x RODEO | TADA TEAM DANCE COVER AND CHOREOGRAPHY

This video features two dance covers- Bad Girls Like You and a remix of American singer and rapper Lah Pat's single Rodeo featuring American rapper Flo Milli. The dances are performed by TADA TEAM, a dance team from Hanoi University in Vietnam. 

I like how the two dances blend together. They were choreographed by Earth-e, Rosie from TADA TEAM and Korean dancer and choreographer Bada Lee.

Male dancers join the girls for the second song and the dancers are Rosie, Gracey, Liyn, Laura, Van Van, Thao and Khan Huyen (girl role); and  A. Dan, Adhimnt, Dieo Ch, Duy, Keon and Quan (boy role). A. Dan and Keon are from other dance teams- The D.I.P and MAD-X  respectively. MAD-X have also done their own cover of Bad Girls Like You.

 The video was uploaded on New Year's Eve (31st December).

[TPOP IN PUBLIC | AUSTRALIA]- Tobii- "BAD GIRLS LIKE YOU"- | ONE TAKE DANCE COVER- Bias Dance

Finally, here is a cover from Australia. It's by Bias Dance and is a one-take (filmed all in one go). Bad Girls Like You is the group's first official T-pop dance cover. They originally posted a side cam version on New Year's Eve.

This video was uploaded on 6th January. The dancers are Tan, Vivian, Kaitlyn, Sally and Wenqi.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

Weekly Music Video

This week's video is DMC by Myles Lloyd , GEMINI , Karencici and JUNNY . Myles is a Canadian R'n'B singer-songwriter from Montreal. He is an independent singer, and released his first song Step Down in August 2017 and his debut album Goodbye in September 2019. His other albums include Forever Yours (2022) and WHAT MORE CAN I SAY ? (2024). His recent singles include Closer, Grapevine and Voodoo. DMC is a newer version/remix of Drive Me Crazy, which Myles originally released in November 2024. A music video premiered in July 2025.  For DMC, Myles teamed up with South Korean R'n'B/alternative artist GEMINI, Chinese American singer Karencici and fellow Canadian singer-songwriter JUNNY.
