Now we're already getting to the end of the first quarter of 2023! So today I'm sharing some more new music. :)


The Weeknd & Ariana Grande- Die For You (Remix)

Canadian singer The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has released a new remix of his song Die For You, which features American singer Ariana Grande. He and Ariana have worked together several times before, on the songs Love Me Harder (from Ariana's 2014 album My Everything), off the table (from Ariana's 2020 album Positions) and Save Your Tears (from The Weeknd's  album After Hours, which was released in 2021).

Die For You was originally released back in September 2017 and is from The Weeknd's 3rd studio album Starboy (released in 2016). There has also been an unofficial remix with American singer SZA. The Die For You Remix was released on 24th February, with a lyric video uploaded on The Weeknd's channel. A day later Ariana uploaded the official audio on her channel.

It would be cool if Ariana brought out some more new music this year. At the moment she's busy with the two-part film adaptation of the stage show Wicked though. :)

Adanna Duru- Write On Me 

Next up is Write on Me by Adanna Duru. She is a Nigerian American singer from Orange County in California who rose to fame after appearing on American reality singing shows The Voice and American Idol. She also has over a million followers on TikTok.

Adanna's songs include ur a b*tch (written in lowercase), POP!, Write on Me and Stay featuring Leven Kali. She describes herself as an R'n'B Afrobeat pop artist and just released her debut EP NAPPY HOUR. According to her YouTube bio, this is Part 1, so Part 2 will follow in future.

Write on Me is from NAPPY HOUR and the video was uploaded yesterday (10th March), the same day that the EP was released. As people have mentioned in comments on YouTube, the song has a nice calming/relaxing vibe.

TWICE- SET ME FREE

Finally, K-pop girl group TWICE have just released a brand new single. It's called SET ME FREE and is from their 12th mini album READY TO BE, which came out yesterday (10th March). READY TO BE is the group's 12th Korean language EP.

SET ME FREE was also released yesterday. It is the lead single from the mini album, although it comes after the release of Moonlight Sunrise (TWICE's 2nd English single) in January, which is on READY TO BE as well.

25th Anniversary of Mariah Carey's Butterfly Album

My favourite singer Mariah Carey recently released a 25th anniversary edition of her 6th studio album Butterfly. The original album was released on 16th September 1997 and featured songs such as her hit single Honey, The Roof and My All. New J.Lo and JoJo Music

Two singers I like, Jennifer Lopez and JoJo have new music out, so today I'm sharing it on the blog! Jennifer Lopez- Baila Conmigo First up is Jennifer Lopez, whose new song is the Spanish language Baila Conmigo (Dance with Me). It's a cover of the 2018 single by Dayvi featuring Kelly Ruiz . New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. The first series featured 3 couples expecting babies- Lily Bennett and her boyfriend James Kennedy who have daughter Aaliyah, now 2;  Mckayla Adkins and partner Caelan Morrison who have son Timothy, also known as Timmy (and now daughter Gracelynn , born in January 2019), and  Lexus Scheller and boyfriend Shayden Massey who have daughter Scarlett. Season 2 saw the departure of Lilly and the addition of 3 new pregnant girls and their partners- Laura Barron and her boyfriend (now husband) Tylor Stawmyor who have son Lucas (and have since had another baby , a 2nd son, who is named Leo),
