Dance Videos

It's been a while since I've done a general dance videos post (the most recent have featured just Bollywood dances), so I felt inspired to do that today! :)

I haven't danced for months due to the lockdown. Some teachers have been teaching online but I prefer to go to in person classes. Hopefully soon! I've been having a go at a couple of these tutorials though, so that's been good. :)


Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo Dance Cover by LiveToDance with Sonali

I'm starting with a Bollywood dance. This is a cover of Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo from the 2003 film Dum by Sonali Bhadauria of LiveTo Dance with Sonali. It was uploaded on 4th July.



Babuji Zhara Dheere Chalo is a good song. I featured it as a Random music video! back in 2011 (before I started doing Weekly Music Videos). I had to replace the original video with the official lyric video: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2011/12/random-music-video.html

5 POPULAR AFRO DANCES FROM GHANA (DANCE TUTORIAL)- Presh Okosi

Next up is a new dance tutorial from Nigerian choreographer Presh Okosi. In this video she's teaching 5 popular dances from Ghana, including One Thousand Legs, the Network dance and the anardas (not sure if that's spelt right).

BEGINNERS LEGWORK TUTORIAL- All About Yana

Here is another African dance tutorial, this time by Yana of All About Yana. She is a new YouTuber who posts videos about dance and lifestyle.

In this video, filmed in Botswana, Yana and her friend Sparkle teach us beginners' legwork.

DUN DUN by EVERGLOW Dance Cover- RISIN'

Here is a dance cover of K-pop girl group EVERGLOW's song DUN DUN by French dance group RISIN'. The dance crew is based in Paris and launched in early 2015. They wish to share K-pop culture with others through dance.

Dance to Davidian by Machine Head- Lianna Greene

This is a metal belly dance choreography by British belly dancer Lianna Greene.  She is the founder of Il Nana Bellydance. She teaches classes in Hailsham, East Sussex and runs workshops in the Brighton area. I've taken workshops with her and they're always fun. :)

Here Lianna is performing a dance to Davidian by the American band Machine Head. The video was taken at the Spellbound show in Bristol last November.




Do You Love Me- Aadil Khan Choreography feat. Krutika Solani

And finally back to Bollywood! Here is a choreo by Aadil Khan to Do You Love Me from the  movie Baaghi 3, released earlier this year. The video features Krutika Solanki.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
