Christmas Music

Christmas is less than 2 weeks away (always seems to come round quickly!), so this week's post is Christmas themed. Here's some music for the festive season. :)

Mariah Carey- All I Want For Christmas Is You

Mariah's 1994 single All I Want For Christmas Is You (from her first Christmas album Merry Christmas) is a classic Christmas song. It's thought to be the best selling modern day Christmas song! I like it but it's one of these that are played so much I get overload! lol. (Feel the same about Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On!).
 

I do also like the remix and the newer version with Justin Bieber (see above for links). Thought I would include the original in this post because it's a classic! :) Watch it below:



And this is the Extra Festive version from Mariah's second Christmas Album Merry Christmas II You (2010). It doesn't sound a whole lot different though.



GOT7- Miracle

Miracle is Korean boyband GOT7's latest single. It's from their re-released 3rd studio album Present: YOU &Me which came out on 3rd December. Miracle has a Christmas/winter themed video.

Christina Aguilera- This Christmas

Here is This Christmas from Christina's 2000 Christmas album, My Kind Of Christmas. I hadn't heard a lot of the songs on here. This is a good one. :)



EXO- The First Snow

I'll end with another K-pop Christmas song! It's The First Snow by EXO-K (the Korean contingent of Korean/Chinese boy group EXO. The song is from their 2nd EP Miracles in December which was released in December 2013, and features Christmas and winter themed songs.

The video has Korean lyrics (Hangul), Romanisation and English. :)

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

Weekly Music Video

This week's video is DMC by Myles Lloyd , GEMINI , Karencici and JUNNY . Myles is a Canadian R'n'B singer-songwriter from Montreal. He is an independent singer, and released his first song Step Down in August 2017 and his debut album Goodbye in September 2019. His other albums include Forever Yours (2022) and WHAT MORE CAN I SAY ? (2024). His recent singles include Closer, Grapevine and Voodoo. DMC is a newer version/remix of Drive Me Crazy, which Myles originally released in November 2024. A music video premiered in July 2025.  For DMC, Myles teamed up with South Korean R'n'B/alternative artist GEMINI, Chinese American singer Karencici and fellow Canadian singer-songwriter JUNNY.
