Last year I did a couple of posts about new music for 2018. You can read them here:
Part 1: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2018/01/new-music-for-2018-part-1.html
Part 2: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2018/01/new-music-for-2018-part-2.html
Now it's a new year again, so I'm sharing some some new music for 2019 in various genres! Starting with Japanese pop. :)
Note: Avex videos are now blocked from being shown on third party applications. If you click on the videos you can watch them fine on YouTube. :)
Red Velvet- SAPPY
First up is Korean girl group Red Velvet, with new Japanese release, SAPPY. It's a digital single (their 2nd original Japanese song) that was released on 6th January.
According to elite daily, SAPPY is about a "sappy" boy who can't make up his mind between two girls. Visit this post for an English translation: https://www.elitedaily.com/p/what-do-red-velvets-sappy-lyrics-mean-in-english-youll-relate-if-your-crush-needs-to-grow-up-15830813
Happiness- POWER GIRLS
Next is the girlband Happiness who are part of the larger group E-girls and the collective.E.G. family. POWER GIRLS is their latest single/. the video uploaded on 15th Jan and I think the single was released the next day.
I believe the song is a bit longer than the video as Avex (record label) doesn't always show full videos.
King & Prince- (Japanese Title)
Can't leave out the boys! Here are King & Prince a 6 member boyband who debuted last year. The members are Sho Hirano, Genki Iwahashi, Ren Nagase, Yuta Jinguji, Yuta Kishi and Kaito Takahashi. The group's formation was inspired by the success of popular Korean boyband BTS. *
King & Prince released their debut single Cinderella Girl in May 2018. This is their latest single which was uploaded on 10th January. I'm having trouble finding the English translation of the title online (possible "Sunshine" since that's a line in the song?), but will update as soon as I find out! :)
Update 3/5/19: The original video was removed and I'm having trouble finding it again, but I think it was Memorial.
Update 2, 9/10/19: 2nd video has been removed as well due to a copyright claim. You can find live performamce of Memorial here but they may be removed soon too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LePZ-NFUHY
As I've mentioned in the past, I don't know that many Japanese boybands as Korean ones, so it's cool to discover a new one. :)

Hope you like the songs! Stay tuned for more new music for 2019. :) What are your favourite new releases? (In any genre).
