This week's video is Deliler, the brand-new single by Turkish Belgian singer Ayshe . It's been a long time since I've listened to her music or featured her on the blog! I just came across the video the other day. :) Deliler is a Turkish pop song and I think the title translates as "Crazy" in English. Christina Aguilera (one of my favourite singers) recently did a live performance. She performed My Favorite Things from the classic musical The Sound of Music  (originally released in 1959) and the 1965 film , live from the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.  The song is the first single from Christina's  upcoming Christmas special , which will be in American theatres on 14th and 21st December. The new album is called Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris and is being released to mark the 25th anniversary of her holiday album My Kind of Christmas (released in October 2000). This week's video is Reputation by American singer jxden . His real name is Jaden Hossler and his stage name (written in lower case) is prounced like his real name  ("Jaden"). jxden started his career as a social media influencer, posting videos on TikTok, where he became very popular. This led to him joining talent agency Talent X and the Sway House , a collective of TikTok stars. In February 2020, jxden kicked off his music career by self-releasing his debut single Comatose. He was then signed to DTA Records (owned by drummer Travis Barker from the American band blink-182 ) , in partnership with Elektra Records and released several more singles that year. In October 2020 he signed a deal with Warner Chappell Music . jxden released his debut studio album Tell Me About Tomorrow in July 2021. This week's video is Boss by German singer  Gina Alice . Her full name is Gina Alice Redlinger and she was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, to German-Korean parents  and raised in Frankfurt . She started playing the piano when she was 4 and  went on to appear on the German TV programme Klassik Kids aged 13, as a piano soloist, with the Berlin National Youth Symphony Orchestra and conductor Rasmus Baumann . She has studied at the  Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt and the Hamburg University of Music . Gina Alice has collaborated with the Chinese orchestras the Shenyang Symphony Orchestra and the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra . In 2021, she was named a Steinway artist and she also released her debut album Wonderworld in November that year. I wasn't feeling very inspired, but then I had a post idea and didn't get it finished in time yesterday. :) In August, Indian girl group W.i.S.H released their debut album Sweetburn. The 4 member group (India's first girl group in 23 years!) debuted back in March 2024. Their music (known as I-pop) is a  mix of Hindi and English, with both Indian and international influences .  W.i.S.H's creation was inspired by the rise of K-pop globally, although they want to create their own path . Sweetburn, which was released on 10th August, consists of 8 tracks, including W.i.S.H's debut single Lazeez and their other previous singles Galti featuring Mxrzi , Therapy and Headrush.  The lead single is Bolo Bolo featuring Panther, which came out in July and newer singles are Ishaare and Drameboss.  I think they've released about 7 official singles from the album. Today's video is YAP, the latest single by American singer Justine Skye . She's taking a new direction with her music, turning to dance rather than R'n'B. It follows her recent single Oh Lala(a dance/Rn'B song) with Haitian Canadian music producer and rapper  KAYTRANADA  and the dance track Bitch in Ibiza, released in May and July respectively. This is a dance cover of "superstitious" by Indonesian girl group  no na . It was their 2nd single, released as a double A-side along with "falling in love" in May. The cover is performed by British dance crew CADENCE, who describe themselves as "friends who like to dance". Today's video is The Show by Singaporean singer Gen Neo . It's his latest single and was released on 28th October. The song is from Gen's new EP Through Thick & Thin, which is due for release in January next year. The EP (which follows his previous 2024 EP  Push&Pull ) marks a new chapter for him and is described as "not just music but pages from a personal diary, which also embodies Gen's healing journey". The Show is a chilled R'n'B song (English language) about the struggle to keep some things private when you're in the digital spotlight, especially when you're going through a hard time. The music in the background makes me think of an older song but I'm not sure which one. This is the official audio and has lyrics onscreen. Sorry the 2nd post is later this week, I had a busy day yesterday and then wasn't feeling well. :) Last week I wrote my 3rd Hallowe'en round-up post. Today's video is ferrari by American singer-songwriter  Jessica Baio . Originally from California and now based in Utah, Jessica started out by posting songs on YouTube as a pre-teen and teenager. Her covers went viral and she has since been working on original music. In March 2023, Jessica released her debut EP catalyst (written in lower case like most of her single and album titles) and her 2nd EP petals followed in January 2024. In November last year she released her debut album UNSAID. Her other singles include if i never , trust issue s,  he loves me not, he loves me not , love me less and her latest, accident , which was released on 24th October. This week's music video is AMA DO LOVE X HADJE by Kosovar singer Era Istrefi . It's her latest single and was released on 15th October.  The release follows Era's other releases in 2025- CARBON2000 in March, MILLION $$$ MAN in April and Kitty with Albanian rapper and singer Noizy in June.  It's actually two songs, Ama Do  Love and Hadje, both mainly Albanian language, with a few English lyrics. Hadje is more of a dance song. My favourite is Ama Do Love, although I like both. :)     Era fan? Today's video is EYES CLOSED by JISOO X ZAYN . Korean singer JISOO (real name Kim Ji-soo) who is also a member of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK , and British singer Zayn (full name Zayn Malik), a former member of British boyband One Direction , have teamed up for the duet, which is the first time they've worked together.  The collab follows Zayn's new solo single Paying 4 their Sins, which was released on 16th September.  JISOSO's most recent releases are tracks off her debut EP AMORTAGE, which came out in February (see my BLACKPINK Girls' Solo Careers- Part 2 post for more on that; link below). EYES CLOSED is an English language pop song about the beginning of new love . Time for another instalment of my semi-regular series C-pop Saturday! Today I'm sharing some Chinese pop,R'n'B and dance. :)   MEME- Wei Xian Ren Wu First up is Wei Xian Ren Wu by Taiwanese girl group MEME (also written as ME ME). It consists of 5 members- Xiao Feng,  Xiao Ti, Strawberry and An Ru. I believe their Chinese name is a homophone of "secret", which, according to info on their  YouTube channel , "evokes a sense of mystery and reflects the members' commitment to innovate and bring unpredictable surprises to their audience" through their work.  Please note: I used Google Translate, so I hope this information is accurate! :) MEME debuted in June 2024 with the single MY BLACK EYES. To date they have released two more singles- Seaside Tour in February this year and Tian Kong Qing Niao (Bluebird in the Sky/Sky Bluebird) in April. This week's video is A COLD PLAY, the latest single by Australian rapper and singer The Kid LAROI . It's said to be a break-up song, coming after LAROI and his girlfriend of over a year, Canadian singer  Tate McRae , broke up in July. A COLD PLAY comes after LAROI's previous singles HOT GIRL SUMMER (which at the time was referred to as a break-up anthem) and SHE DON'T NEED TO KNOW  (released in July and August respectively). It will be on his upcoming second album , reportedly due out next month . The single was released on 5th September and 3 weeks later, Tate released her latest single  TIT FOR TAT . After sharing some K-pop in Public last week , this week I thought I'd feature more dance from another genre- Indian! :) Almost a year ago, I wrote a post called South Indian Videos, which was a selection of music and dance from a couple of South Indian film industries,  Tollywood (Telugu language) and Kollywood (Tamil language). This week's video is The Way You Move by American singer JayDon . His real name is JayDon McCrary (his previous stage name was J.D. McCrary) and he started out as a child actor, appearing on a couple of episodes of American TV series K.C. Undercover  in 2015 and going on to voice Young Simba in the 2019 remake of The Lion King .  In January 2018, JayDon released his official debut single Inviting All of You, going on to become the youngest solo artist  to sign with Hollywood Records (part of Disney Music Group ) that summer. He also released the single My Name in August and his debut EP followed in April 2019. Last year, JayDon changed his stage name from J.D.
