New Ariana Grande Videos

American singer Ariana Grande recently released the single the boy is mine. It's from her 7th studio album eternal sunshine (as with previous releases, the album title and most of the songs are written in lower case) which came out in March.

the boy is mine is the 3rd single to be released, coming after yes and? and we can't be friends (wait for your love). It's an R'n'B track inspired by a leaked demo of a song called Fantasize, which Ariana recorded for a comedy sketch. In turn, Fantasize took inspiration from the hit 1998 single The Boy Is Mine by American singers Brandy and Monica (still a good song after all these years!).

the boy is mine was released on 11th June. It's one of my favourite songs from eternal sunshine, along with true story. There's also a remix with Brandy and Monica (see below).

The music video stars Ariana as a seemingly ordinary woman living in a city overrun by rats. However, she harbours a secret crush on the city's mayor (played by American actor Penn Badgley) and transforms herself into Catwoman to carry out her plan of making him hers! Brandy and Monica also make an appearance as news reporters.

Please note that the video contains some swearing. :)

 


And now there is a remix with the singers of the original duet The Boy Is Mine, Bandy Norwood and Monica Arnold! It was released on 21st June. 

I like the way the 3 stars sound together and also the extra verses in the new version. This is the official lyric video. If a music video is made in the future, I'll update this post. :)

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
