CoCo Lee- PLAYBOY

Chinese American singer CoCo Lee released the new single Playboy last year. I first came across it on Spotify actually, quite a while ago.

CoCo doesn't release music as much there days (her last album was 2013's Illuminate) but she has brought out a few singles over the last few years.

She has had a difficult time in her personal life, with rumoured marriage problems and having leg surgery in February to correct a defect she's had since she was a child. She now has to learn how to walk again Hopefully she is recovering well. :)

PLAYBOY is a pop/dance song and was released last November. This is an audio.

Update 12/7/23: I found out a few days ago that CoCo died recently, after a suicide attempt. It's so sad that she was in such a bad place. I know what it's like to struggle with mental health and suicidal thoughts. Sometimes people feel that it's the only way to make the pain stop. The conversation around mental health is getting better but I still think these things need to be talked about more.

RIP CoCo. ❤️

NICKTHEREAL- FAKE SH*T

Next up is FAKE SH*T by Taiwanese rapper and singer NICKTHEREAL aka Nick Chou. It's his latest single and came out in April.

The song is from Nick's new EP REALIVE which was released in January. As you can tell by the title, the single is explicit! :)

Karencici feat. J.Sheon- She Don't Mind

This is She Don't Mind by Chinese American singer Karencici and featuring Taiwanese singer and rapper J.Sheon. Both Karencici (real name Lin Kai-Lun or Kai-Lun Lin in Western terms) and J.Sheon are members of PANTHEPACK, the Chinese hip hop group founded by Hong Kong rapper and singer (and member of K-pop group GOT7) Jackson Wang. The other members are Jackson and Chinese rapper ICE.

Karencici started out as an independent artist in 2016, before signing to a Korean record label. She released her debut album SHA YAN in December 2018. In October 2021 she brought out 99% Angel, which is considered her breakthrough album.

PANTHEPACK also debuted in October 2021. Karencici is currently signed to Taiwanese record label HIM International Music as a solo artist. Her new EP Everybody Loves Me just came out today (27th May).

J.Sheon launched his solo career in 2017. I first heard of him when he featured on the song What Can I Do by Singaporean singer Gen Neo. It's from Gen's 2021 EP AD ASTRA.

Karencici and J.Sheon teamed up for She Don't Mind, which was released last month. It's from Karencici's brand-new EP Everybody Loves Me. The song is a mixture of English and Chinese.
