Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Double Back by American singer Coco Jones. Her full name is Courtney Michelle Jones, and she is also an actress who started singing and performing when she was a child and began her career with Disney

In 2010 aged 12, Coco was runner up in Season 3 of Radio Disney's Next Big Thing show, which was looking for new musical artists. She also played the  role of Roxie in the 2012 Disney film Let It Shine and appeared in the Disney Channel TV shows So Random! and Good Luck Charlie

Coco released her self-titled debut album independently in October 2010 and went on to sign with Hollywood Records. Her debut single Holla Holla was released in December 2012, followed by her debut EP Made Of in March 2013. Unfortunately she was dropped by Hollywood Records in early 2014, but went on to release the single Peppermint independently in October that year.

To date, Coco has brought out 3 more EPs- Let Me Check It (2017), H.D.W.Y (2019) and What I Didn't Tell You (2022)- and several more singles, including Let Me Check It, Just My Luck, Depressed, Hollyweird, ICU and Double Back.

She signed to Def Jam in March 2022 and the first single to be released on that label (and the lead single from her major label debut EP What I Didn't Tell You) was Caliber.

Coco is also still acting, most recently starring as Hilary Banks in Bel-Air, the revamped version of classic 90s comedy series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Double Back is from the deluxe version of What I Didn't Tell You (originally released last November). The deluxe edition came out in January and features 4 new tracks- Fallin', Simple with Babyface, Put You On and Plan.

It's a smooth R'n'B song that gives me 00s vibes! The video was uploaded on 4th May.

South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. That one is by Rang De and you can see it here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2023/08/dance-videos.html This cover is by Indian choreographer Sonali Bhaduria, from LiveToDance with Sonali and was uploaded in January 2022. It's a shorter video.   For more on Pushpa and to watch the official Oo Antava Mawa video, check out my Tollywood Videos Round-up 2 post from September 2023: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2023/09/tollywood-videos-round-up-2.html ...

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. The first one was about BLACKPINK and you can see it here:  https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2026/03/k-pop-comebacks-blackpink.html Today I'm focusing on BTS (one of the most popular Korean boybands ). They debuted in 2013 and are a 7-member group, made up of leader RM, formerly known as Rap Monster (real name Kim Nam Joon), SUGA (Min Yoon Gi), Jin (full name Kim Seok Jin), j-hope (Jung Ho-seok), Jimin (Park Ji Min), V (Kim Tae Hyung) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook). * Since then, the boys have been very successful, not only in South Korea but internationally. They are probably one of the most well-known K-pop bands worldwide.  In June 2022, the group took a break while the members served their  mandatory military service in Korea and have also been concentrat...
