Weekly Music Video

Today's video is In The Dark by Swae Lee and featuring Jhené Aiko. Swae (real name Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown) is one half of American hip duo Rae Sremmurd, along with his older brother Slim Jxmmi (Aaquil Iben Shamon Brown). The group name is "Ear Drummers" backwards (I never even noticed that!). They are probably best known for their 2016 hit single Black Beatles.  

Swae has also branched out on his own, releasing solo music and collaborating with others, including rappers French Montana on Unforgettable and Post Malone with Sunflower from the 2018 Spider Man movie Into the Spider-Verse (also songs I like, especially Sunflower!). He released his debut solo album Swaecation in May 2018, as part of a triple album set. The rest of the set contains Rae Sremmurd's 3rd album SR3MM and Slim Jxmmi's Jxmtro.  

Swae's 2nd album Human Nature has been expected to be released this year, although there's been  no update lately. His latest single is Ball Is Life with Jack Harlow and he also just released the song LALA with Alica Keys.

Rae Sremmurd and Jhené have previously worked together on the song Sativa, back in 2018. They both appaared on the single version, although only Swae is listed as featuring on Jhené's Trip album.

In The Dark came out on 22nd September and is from the new Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. You can find the song on the official album.

My favourite singer Mariah Carey recently released a 25th anniversary edition of her 6th studio album Butterfly. The original album was released on 16th September 1997 and featured songs such as her hit single Honey, The Roof and My All. New J.Lo and JoJo Music

Two singers I like, Jennifer Lopez and JoJo have new music out, so today I'm sharing it on the blog! Jennifer Lopez- Baila Conmigo First up is Jennifer Lopez, whose new song is the Spanish language Baila Conmigo (Dance with Me). It's a cover of the 2018 single by Dayvi featuring Kelly Ruiz . New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. The first series featured 3 couples expecting babies- Lily Bennett and her boyfriend James Kennedy who have daughter Aaliyah, now 2;  Mckayla Adkins and partner Caelan Morrison who have son Timothy, also known as Timmy (and now daughter Gracelynn , born in January 2019), and  Lexus Scheller and boyfriend Shayden Massey who have daughter Scarlett. Season 2 saw the departure of Lilly and the addition of 3 new pregnant girls and their partners- Laura Barron and her boyfriend (now husband) Tylor Stawmyor who have son Lucas (and have since had another baby , a 2nd son, who is named Leo),
