Today's video is My Love by American rapper Wale featuring American electro dance trio Major Lazer,  Nigerian singer Wizkid and British singer Dua Lipa. Wale's full name is Olubowale Victor Aktintimehin. His parents who are orginally from Nigeria, moved to America in the late 70s and he was born in Washington DC.

Wale started out by releasing the mixtape Paint a Picture in 2005. His early songs include Rhyme of the Century, Dig Dug (Shake It) and Uptown Roamers. In 2008 he signed to Allido Records (run by British DJ and singer Mark Ronson) and Interscope. His debut album Attention Deficit came out in November 2009. To date he has released 11 mixtapes (his most recent was 2017's Before I Shine) and 5 studio albums- Attention Deficit, Ambition (2011), The Gifted (2013), The Album About Nothing (2015) and SHINE (2017), plus EPs and collaborative albums. Wale's most successful singles to date are Lotus Bomb featuring Miguel and Bad featuring Tiara Thomas. (Bajan singer Rihanna features on the remix). Wale's music includes elements of go-go. Last month he signed to the record company Warner Bros. He also has his own management company and record label Every Blue Moon aka EBM (formely The Board Management) which he runs with Le'Greg O'Harrison.

My Love is from SHINE. It was released last August and the video and song have a summer vibe, so a good fit for this time of year!

Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant

Earlier this month I did a post on the new series of Teen Mom UK. At the end of of the post I mentioned that a new show had started in America called Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant. It's now due to start in the UK next week, so here's more about the programme. :)

Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant is the latest in the Teen Mom franchise which started with the 2009 series 16 and Pregnant. It follows 5 girls- Ashely, Brianna, Kayla, Lexi and Jade. Their ages vary from 17 to 21.

Lexi Tatman

The clip of Lexi was the first one I saw. She's 17 and  a cheerleader from Colorado. Her baby son's father is Kyler Lopez and she split-up with him before finding out she was pregnant. When you see Lexi cheerleading while pregnant it reminds me of Farrah Abraham (from Teen Mom OG) in her 16 and Pregnant episode!

Top 10 True Movies

I like watching films based on true stories. I used to watch them occasionally as a child and teen but I started watching them more after the True Movies channels (True Movies 1 and True Movies 2) launched on Sky 11 years ago. It seems weird that it's been so long, lol. I usually watch the films on those channels (or True Entertainment) but I also sometimes watch them on Lifetime or other channels. (I think a lot of these are Lifetime original movies but we didn't get the Lifetime channel in the UK until late 2013).

I thought that today I'd share my Top 10 True Movies. :)

Trigger warning:

Most of the films are based on crimes (often murder or abuse) and I realise these are difficult subjects, so read with caution if you're sensitive to these type of films.

Posts may contain spoilers. Unless otherwise stated, videos are trailers. :)
