Dance Videos

It's been a while since I did a general dance videos post, so today I'm sharing some videos featuring dances from different genres, including Bollywood and Afropop. :)

 

[DANCE IN PUBLIC] XG- Tippy Toes- Dance Cover by Hustle 

First up is a dance cover of Tippy Toes, the debut single by Japanese girl group XG,  released in March. They are also considered a global group and their two singles so far have been in English, so that's why the video is listed as "Dance in Public" rather than J-pop in Public (although some videos are listed under J-pop).

The cover is performed by Hustle, an all-girl dance crew from Melbourne, Australia that formed in 2015. They mostly do K-pop covers. The video was uploaded in July and the dancers are Natalie Lim, Kirstie Ho, Tran Le, Sarah Chua, Carmen Teoh, Nancy Sanjoto and Pearl Tasbur.

Killer Haseena- Dance Cover- Sonali Bhaduria x Tulsi Kumar x Arjun Kanungo

Next is the latest video from Indian dance choreographer Sonali Bhaduria of LiveToDance with Sonali. It's a collaboration with singers Tulsi Kumar (who is also a playback singer for Bollywood songs such as Tadap Tadap from the film Darling and Dus Bahane 2.0 from Baaghi 3) and Arjun Kanungo, dancing to their new song Killer Haseena (or "new-ish", since it was released in late September!). 

The video was uploaded on 6th October.

Manike- Thank God| Nora Fatehi- Deepa Iyengar

Here is a dance cover of Manike from the new Bollywood film Thank God. It's performed by Deepa Iyengar of DeepaDance and also features two backing dancers. The video was uploaded on 8th October.

Cough (odo)- Kizz Daniel (Offical Dance Video)- Tileh & Martina

Finally, here is some Afrobeats! This is a dance video by international dance couple Tileh & Martina (Tileh Pacbro and Martina Glez) who are based in Kenya and Spain. They are dancing to Cough (Odo) by Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel and EMPIRE, which came out last month.

The video was uploaded on 22nd October. Watch out for the couple's cute son Tiago, who makes an appearance! :)

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
