Time for another C-pop Saturday post! I plan to make them more regular this year. :)
KUN- Young
First up is Young by Chinese singer KUN. His Chinese name is Cai Xukun and he was the leader and centre of (now disbanded) boyband Nine Percent.* He was born in Hunan province and started his career by taking part in Chinese music reality shows Super Idol and Idol Producer (the show from which Nine Percent was formed). He was set to debut as part of boyband SWIN, who were formed on Super Idol, but the group's debut never came about. He went on to perform his own song I Wanna Get Love on Idol Producer and then debuted as part of Nine Percent in November 2018.
KUN released I Wanna Get Love as a single and it got to No. 1 in the Mainland China charts. On 2nd August 2018 (his 20th birthday) he released his debut EP 1, which featured the hit songs Pull Up, Wait Wait (both English language) and You Can Be My Girlfriend (a mixture of English and Chinese).
In February 2019 he brought out his first Chinese single No Exception, and last July released his 2nd EP YOUNG, which features the song Young and Blindfold (sung in English and Mandarin). In addition to singing he has acted in Chinese films and TV series.
The video for Young came out in July.

Julia Wu feat. SHOU- Chinese Title (One in seventh billion)?
This is the latest single from Australian singer Julia Wu, which features rapper SHOU. I believe the song title is something like One in seventh billion plus one (thank you Google Translate!). If you speak/read Mandarin, is this the correct title? :)
The video just premiered on 5th March and features Julia stalking a love interest!
Bestards- Chinese title
Something a little different now! This is Bestards, a band made of 4 members formed in 2017, whose music is an unplugged ballad style. I think they are Taiwanese. I came across them randomly on YouTube and there's very little information in English available about them online, but I'll update as/when I can. :) They have a new release due out on 13th March.
Note: When translated the info on their FB page says "Four simple a**hole boys", is that a mistranslation?! (Considering the band name, probably not! lol/)
This song is possibly called Ideal B*stard but I'm not 100% sure. Dream of Unicorn was also a translation in the YouTube title. Again, please tell me if you know! :) This is the official lyric video which was uploaded in September 2018.

Lexie Liu- Metropolis
Finally here's a new one from Chinese singer Lexie Liu. It's called Metropolis and is from her new album Meta Ego, released in December. The song is a mixture of Mandarin and English, and the video was uploaded on 1st March (my bday!). It's a lyric video and there is an English translation of the Chinese lyrics, and a Chinese translation of the English lyrics, which is good. :)
