New Music Releases

I did a post on new K-pop releases in June but haven't done a general one for a while, so today I'm focusing on some Western and international music.


Era Istrefi feat. Konshens- Oh God

First up this is Kosovar singer Era Istrefi's new one Oh God. It features Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens and was released on 26th July.

Please note that the song is explicit. :)





K.A.R.D- Ride On The Wind

Korean group K.AR.D have a new single called Ride on the wind. It's from their 3rd mini album of the same name, and I think both were released on 25th July. (It's a year since they released their debut mini album. Doesn't seem that long!).


Like Jessi's Down, this is another video with a nice beach and summer vibe. :)



 Shakira and Maluma- Clandestino

Colombian singer Shakira's last single is Clandestino ("Clandestine in Spanish). Her full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, and she is probably best known to Western audiences for her English language  singles such Whenever Wherever, Underneath Your Clothes, Hips Don't Lie, Did It Again and She Wolf, but she had a successful career in Latin America prior to that. Her latest album is the Spanish language El Dorado (The Golden One) which was released in May 2017.

Clandestino is Shakira's 4th collaboration with fellow Colombian singer Maluma and was released on 8th June. I included it in June's New Music/Videos post. The video came out yesterday.

ZAYN- Sour Diesel


And finally this is Sour Diesel, by British singer and former One Direction member ZAYN  (full name Zayn Malik). It was released on 18th July and will be on his second album which is said to be out soon.

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. They debuted in 2013 and are a 7-member group, made up of leader RM, formerly known as Rap Monster (real name Kim Nam Joon), SUGA (Min Yoon Gi), Jin (full name Kim Seok Jin), j-hope (Jung Ho-seok), Jimin (Park Ji Min), V (Kim Tae Hyung) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook). * Since then, the boys have been very successful, not only in South Korea but internationally. Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album.
