Dance Moms Girls Updates- Part 3

Earlier this year I started a series of posts about what the girls from reality show Dance Moms have been up to since the show ended last year. Now it's time for the third instalment. Didn't plan to take this long, but never mind! This time I'm focusing on JoJo, Brynn and Camryn. :)

JoJo Siwa

JoJo (full name Joelle) and her mum Jessalyn joined Dance Moms in Series/Season 5 . She was originally a finalist on S2 on Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition (the youngest contestant at 9), then went on to join Dance Moms in  2015. Nicknamed "JoJo with the BowBow" due to her habit of wearing a bow in  her hair,she later released her only selection of hair bows with Claire';s (formerly Claire's Accessories, that's how I still think of it!). Her strongest dance styles are jazz and contemporary.

In May 2016 JoJo released a digital single Boomerang which is about cyberbullying, She left Dance Moms in 2016, after Jessalyn pulled her out of a competition where she was supposed to be performing a ballet number. Jojo isn't so sting in ballet and Jessalyn believed that dance teacher Abby Lee Miller was setting her daughter up to fail (which wasn't out of the realm of possibility!). I remember seeing that and being surprised that she'd permanently left. I suppose Abby didn't want her back after that.

Since leaving the show JoJo signed to Nickelodeon and has guest starred in several TV shows, including School of Rock and Bizardvark. She has appeared in the film Blurt and in the animated series JoJo and the BowBow Show Show, released more songs including Kid in A Candy Store and Every Girl's a Super Girl (in association with the online multiplayer game Star Stable) and brought out books including JoJo's Guide to the Sweet Life.

Now aged 15, her latest single is High Top shoes and  she's due to release a new book on 17th July called JoJo Loves BowBow: A Day in the Life of the World's Cutest Canine.

JoJo is one of the Dance Moms star who seems to be the most popular here in the UK. I've seen her on Nickelodeon and her products in thw shops. Apart from Maddie we don't see much of the other girls over here. Also apparently her hair bow line caused trouble at primary (elementary) schools in the UK!

Brynn Rumfallo

Brynn started out in the public eye as a contestant on S8 of American' Got Talent. She appeared on Dance Moms in 2015 and became a permanent member of the ALDC (Abby Lee Dance Company) in S6 on 2016, along with her mum Ashlee.  She never seemed to be properly accepted by the other girls, I think because it seemed like Abby favoured her and she was given more solo then some. The other mums didn't like Ashlee either.

After relations soured with Abby,  the girls who had still been part of the ALDC (Nia Frazier, Kendall Vertes, Kaliani Hilliker and Camryn Bridges) decided to form a new team called The Irreplaceables, along with Chloe Lukisak who lue the original team in 2014. Brynn chose to stay with Abby and the Minis team. (From what they showed, it did appear that the other girls were a bit off with her).

Since the show ended, Brynn now 15) has brought out her own clothing line and done some modelling. She's I can't find much more info about what she's up to these days. I don't think she's dancing currently.

This is a 10 minute photo challenge that she took part in earlier this year. Her sister Sadie also helped with the challenge.

Camryn Bridges 

Camryn, now 16,  joined the show in S7, in 2016, along with her mother Camille. Her favourite dance styles are jazz and contemporary.  She was one of the "last girls standing" towards the end, and opted to be part of The Irreplacables along with Nia, Chloe, Kalani and Kendall. However, she wasn't part of their recent tour, (it was just Chloe, Kendall and Kalani). She said in YouTube video uploaded in May that she hasn't spoken to any of the Dance Moms' girls lately.

Like Brynn. I can't fin a lot of information about what she's been up to lately. She did a clothing collection with Arreau and has uploaded videos to YouTube though. Here's a n interview with her from earlier this year: https://www.dancespirit.com/camryn-bridges-interview-2534471362.html

Update on Abby: Dance teacher Abby was jailed for bankruptcy fraud in 2017 and released in March this year after serving 8 months, and moved to a halfway house. In April she was diagnosed with cancer (a type of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma) and underwent emergency spinal surgery. She recently shared a picture of herself learning to walk again. Abby is also said to be filming for a new series of Dance Moms! I believe that no official decision on S8 has been made yet though. Will keep you updated. :)


So that's it for now!Hope you liked the post. :) There have been other dances who've come and gone in the ALDC but I've kept it to most of the main ones because it's easier! I may due a future post on some of the others, including Maesi Caes and the Minis (dancers aged 10 and under at the time). :)
