Weekly Music Video

Today's video is EYES CLOSED by JISOO X ZAYN. Korean singer JISOO (real name Kim Ji-soo) who is also a member of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, and British singer Zayn (full name Zayn Malik), a former member of British boyband One Direction, have teamed up for the duet, which is the first time they've worked together. 

The collab follows Zayn's new solo single Paying 4 their Sins, which was released on 16th September.  JISOSO's most recent releases are tracks off her debut EP AMORTAGE, which came out in February (see my BLACKPINK Girls' Solo Careers- Part 2 post for more on that; link below).

EYES CLOSED is an English language pop song about the beginning of new love. It was released on 10th October, through JISOO's own record label BLISSOO and Warner Records.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
