Weekly Music Video

This week's video is The Way You Move by American singer JayDon. His real name is JayDon McCrary (his previous stage name was J.D. McCrary) and he started out as a child actor, appearing on a couple of episodes of American TV series K.C. Undercover in 2015 and going on to voice Young Simba in the 2019 remake of The Lion King

In January 2018, JayDon released his official debut single Inviting All of You, going on to become the youngest solo artist to sign with Hollywood Records (part of Disney Music Group) that summer. He also released the single My Name in August and his debut EP followed in April 2019.

Last year, JayDon changed his stage name from J.D. McCrary to his birth name JayDon and released his first single under that name in November, Ah! Ah! featuring American rapper 310babii

This March, aged 17 (he's since turned 18) he signed to singer Usher and record producer L.A. Reid's record label mega, in partnership with music executive Larry Jackson and record executive Ike Youssef's media company gamma (whose other signees include Nigerian singer Juno and my favourite singer Mariah Carey!).

JayDon also released the single I'll Be Good in March, which sampled Usher's 2001 single How Do I Say. It was his 2nd single of the year, coming after Lullaby in February, which featured alt R'n'B singer Paradise, L.A. Reid's son.

JayDon's other singles include Keep in Touch, Closer to Christmas, Calendar, Trip and Boujee Baby with American social media star and musical artist Zeddy Will, and his acting credits include American comedy series The Paynes and the 2019 comedy film Little.

The Way You Move is JayDon's latest single and was released in August. It's an R'n'B song that has vibes of the early-mid 00s.

Update 3/10/25: JayDon just uploaded a brand-new video! It's a visualiser for his latest single Caviar from his debut mixtape Me My Songs & I (due out on 10th October).

Caviar came out today (3rd Oct). Watch the official visualiser (or visualizer) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxa-AoHuGZE

South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . I previously featured a dance cover of Oo Antava Mawa in a Dance Videos post in August last year. That one is by Rang De and you can see it here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2023/08/dance-videos.html This cover is by Indian choreographer Sonali Bhaduria, from LiveToDance with Sonali and was uploaded in January 2022. It's a shorter video.   For more on Pushpa and to watch the official Oo Antava Mawa video, check out my Tollywood Videos Round-up 2 post from September 2023: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2023/09/tollywood-videos-round-up-2.html ...

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. The first one was about BLACKPINK and you can see it here:  https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2026/03/k-pop-comebacks-blackpink.html Today I'm focusing on BTS (one of the most popular Korean boybands ). They debuted in 2013 and are a 7-member group, made up of leader RM, formerly known as Rap Monster (real name Kim Nam Joon), SUGA (Min Yoon Gi), Jin (full name Kim Seok Jin), j-hope (Jung Ho-seok), Jimin (Park Ji Min), V (Kim Tae Hyung) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook). * Since then, the boys have been very successful, not only in South Korea but internationally. They are probably one of the most well-known K-pop bands worldwide.  In June 2022, the group took a break while the members served their  mandatory military service in Korea and have also been concentrat...

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. I CONDEMN was released on 17th April. As with the songs on the original BEFORE I FORGET, it...
