Weekly Music Video

Today's video is How Your Hands Feel by American singer Ryan Destiny (full name Ryan Destiny Irons). She's also an actress and comes from a famous family, since her dad Deron Irons was in 90s R'n'B duo Guesss (along with Darryl Gerdine).

Ryan started out in showbiz young, forming a musical trio called New Limit aged 12. The group (who were managed  by Ryan's mum Dawn) auditioned for America's Got Talent in 2010. Despite getting through to the finals, they decided it wasn't right for them.

Ryan went on to be part of the short lived group Love Dollhouse. They released one single Can I, before disbanding in 2015. She then launched a solo career, releasing her debut single The Same in 2018. There's also a remix featuring Nigerian American rapper Tobi Lou.

To date, Ryan has released 4 more singles- Do You (2020), How Many (2023), Lie Like That (2023) and How Your Hands Feel. She has yet to bring out an EP or album.

Ryan's acting credits include the lead role in the 2015 film A Girl Like Grace, a lead role in the American musical TV series Star (which also starred Queen Latifah and ran from 2016-2019), the American sitcom Grown-ish and horror movie Oracle (2023). She is also set to play real life boxer and mixed martial artists Claressa Shields in the upcoming biographical film The Fire Inside. 

In addition, she has appeared in several music videos- Big Sean's Paradise (2014) and Single Again (2019), Justin Bieber's Holy (2020) and Doja Cat's Need to Know (2021). 

How Your Hands Feel is Ryan's latest single and was released on 1st March (my birthday!). It's a smooth R'n'B song.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. Weekly Music Video

This week's video is DMC by Myles Lloyd , GEMINI , Karencici and JUNNY . Myles is a Canadian R'n'B singer-songwriter from Montreal. He is an independent singer, and released his first song Step Down in August 2017 and his debut album Goodbye in September 2019. His other albums include Forever Yours (2022) and WHAT MORE CAN I SAY ? (2024). His recent singles include Closer, Grapevine and Voodoo. DMC is a newer version/remix of Drive Me Crazy, which Myles originally released in November 2024. A music video premiered in July 2025.  For DMC, Myles teamed up with South Korean R'n'B/alternative artist GEMINI, Chinese American singer Karencici and fellow Canadian singer-songwriter JUNNY.
