Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Highway by NOA. His full name is Kazama Noa (or Noa Kazama in Western terms) and he is a Japanese singer and songwriter who is trilingual  (in addition to Japanese, he speaks English and Korean). Aged 12, he was scouted by South Korean record company YG Entertainment and became their first ever Japanese trainee. 

NOA made his debut with the release of digital single LIGHTS UP in January 2020. In June he brought out his 2nd digital single TAXI featuring Japanese record producer and DJ tofubeats, which was No. 1 on the Spotify viral chart in Thailand. This January he released his debut EP Too Young. His other singles include Don't Waste My Time and LET GO which features JEON WOONG of Korean group AB6IX.

Highway is NOA's 3rd digital single and is Japanese language with some English lyrics. It came out on 10th October.

New Unexpected

We're finally getting the new season of the reality TV series Unexpected in the UK! Season 3 was shown in the US last summer , and I wondered when we'd get it here. I don't have any online streaming services so thought I'd just watch clips on YouTube, lol. However it's now starting here in early March. Similar to the popular MTV franchise Teen Mom , Unexpected focuses on teen parents. South Indian Videos

I've written several Bollywood posts this year but I don't feature South Indian music/films as much. So today I'm sharing some music and dance videos from Tollywood ( the Telugu language film industry) and Kollywood (the Tamil language film industry). :) Oo Antava Mawa- Pushpa- Dance Cover by Sonali First up is a dance cover of the song Oo Antava Mawa..Oo Oo Antava from the 2021 Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 . 20th Anniversary of Mariah's The Emancipation of Mimi Album- Part 1

My favourite singer Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her 10th studio album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was released back in April 2005. I'd planned to write just one post about the album but it was turning into a really long one, so I've decided to divide it into two parts! Here is Part 1. :) The Emancipation of Mimi (or TEOM for short!) was considered Mariah's "comeback album" at the time, following on from her previous two albums, Glitter (2001) which was accompanied by the film of the same name and Charmbracelet (2002). Neither the Glitter movie or album were very well received and after going through a difficult time in general, Mariah had an emotional and physical breakdown and checked into hospital that summer.
