Priyanka and Nick Videos

In December Indian actress Priyanka Chopra married American singer and actor Nick Jonas. I thought it would be cool to do a post featuring both of their videos. :)


 Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka won the Miss India and Miss World beauty pageants in 2000. She started out in Kollywood (the Tamil film industry) playing the part of Priya in Thamizan (2002). She then made her debut in Bollywood (the Hindi movie industry) with the 2003 film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, alongside Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. She went on star in Andaaz  (2003) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) but her career really took after she starred as Sonia in Aitraaz, the 2004 remake of Hollywood film Disclosure. Her other movies include Barsaat, Krrish, Don, Dostana and Gunday.

In 2015 Priyanka made her American TV debut when she starred as lead character Alex Parrish in the TV series Quantico, the first South Asian to play the lead in an American network drama series. She has also acted in American films Baywatch (2017) and Isn't It Romantic (2018).

In addition to acting Priyanka sings (something not common for actors in Indian films to do, since playback singers are often used). She sang Ullathai Killathe in Thamizan and went to release the singles In My City, Exotic and I Can't Make You Love Me (a cover of the song by Bonnie Raitt). Her first solo Bollywood playback song was Charo from the 2014 movie Mary Kom. (She also sang with others on Sajaan Sajaan from Barsaat- see below).

Aaja Aaja from Barsaat: A Sublime Love Story (2005

Barsaat (translated in English as "Rain") is based on the American film Sweet Home Alabama and is about Arav (played by Bobby Deol, who is the brother of Sunny, and also made his debut in the unrelated 1995 movie Barsaat ) who is married to Kajal (Priyanka).When Arav goes to America to advance in his career, he meets Anna (Bipasha Basu) and falls in love with her. He then returns to India to divorce Kajal, whom he was pressured into marrying by his parents. But Kajal loves him and isn't going to give up on their marriage.


This is Aaja Aaja. This might be when Kajal is looking forward to Arav coming home but I'm no sure because its a long time since I saw the film. :) The playback singer is Alka Yagnik.



Chori Chori Ladi Ankhiyan from Barasat

Another one from Barsaat. The singers are Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Sapna Aswathi.




Saajan Saajan Saajan from Barsaat

Note: One of my favourite songs from Barsaat is Nakhre, but since it doesn't feature Priyanka I'll leave it for another time!

Dushman Mera from Don 2 (2011) 

Dushman Mera (My Enemy) is from the 2nd Don film, the sequel to the 2006 remake of the original 1978 film. It's about crime boss (played by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan), a crime boss who is plotting to take over the European drug cartel. Priyanka plays Roma, the sister of Romesh, who was killed in the first film. She has now joined Interpol in an attempt to catch her enemy.  
Ram Chahe Leela from Goliyon Ko Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013)

Priyanka was an "item girl" (made a cameo appearance) in Goliyan Ka Raasleela, performing to the song Ram Chahe Leela. The film is based on Romeo and Juliet and stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone (who are now married in real life) as star crossed lovers Ram and Leela, whose families are warring.

The singer is Bhoomi Trivedi.  




Priyanka also starred with Ranveer in Gunday (see below).

Nick Jonas

Nick started out in boyband the Jonas Brothers, along with his brothers Kevin and Joe, before turning solo. Jonas Brothers split in 2013 but have since reformed (see below).

 Jonas Brothers- Sucker

I had the idea for this post a couple of weeks ago and now then the other day I saw that the Jonas Brothers have a new video which features Kevin's wife Danielle Jonas, Priyanka and Joe's fiancee British actress Sophie Turner. The group reunited to release the single Sucker on  28th February.

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album.
